Summary: These little speakers are amazing! I run a vintage Marantz 2325 receiver in my very small living room, with Fisher 102 bookshelf speakers, which are very nice and warm sounding. Between the Marantz's warm, bass sound and the fishers, I was wanting to boost the highs without getting big speakers. These Klipsch units running as the second speakers have done the job. They really brighten the sound of my stereo! Great speakers!

Summary: These are not terrible speakers by any stretch, but for more than $300 new, Klipsch is no better than Bose when it comes to overpriced and marketing-first. I bought these things new a long time ago, maybe 2006, and have been using them ever since to get my money's worth. I've never been satisfied with them and wish I replaced them a long time ago. It's just the principle of spending more than $300 that held me back, I guess. The highs always sounded harsh.
Summary: these speakers sound great. i have 2 klipsch quintet 2's for the rear surround and these are my front. i just could not believe the sound of these speakers, much better than expected. these speakers are used, i saw them at a thrift store, and they were selling them for next to nothing, i guess they did not know what they had. the back bottom corners were worn, but a black magic marker and no one can tell. when i hooked them up i was blown away.
Summary: I am using these instead of the built-in speakers on an LCD TV in a bedroom. I have them hooked up to an inexpensive SONY receiver. The sound is great, and the bass is acceptable so I won't have to add a separate sub-woofer. These speakers help me keep things simple for this setup. No sound bar, no separate sub-woofer... just two great sounding speakers!
Good while they lasted, terrible when one randomly burned

Summary: I have to admit, I loved these speakers when they worked. However, today I was watching a movie with them hooked up to my theater system when suddenly the sound started sounding funny. I paused the movie and went over to check them, just to be hit by an overwhelming smell around one of them. It unscrewed the front bass on it to be hit by a terrible smell of burning rubber or something similar.
Summary: I have these hooked to a Yamaha RX-497. Dvd's and CD's feed from a Denon DVD-1740. I stream Pandora over a Roku XD/S, which I upgraded to Pandora One for the higher quality feed. Used Rocketfish 16 gauge cable and Rocketfish banana clips for the speaker wire. Mediabridge hdmi and rca cables. All I can say is WOW. After fine tuning the settings on my RX-497, everything sounds amazing on these bad boys.
Summary: What BANG for the Bucks!! These speakers have amazing quality for their size, great crisp highs, and serious bass for a bookshelf speaker! These were purchased to make up for the high end sounds, (horns, brass, etc.) the tower speakers that I recently purchased just didn't have. I am really impressed, and pleased. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great speaker! Also I LOVED the eBay Price!
