Nice outdoor speakers with great sound quality

Robert Hildenbrand "robert11943", Amazon
3 March 2015
  • Summary: Nice outdoor speakers with great sound quality. "C" bracket mount is solid, and the wire connectors (nut style) are well made. These really fill my outdoor area (paired with an AudioStream 100 Watt amp). Given that the woofer is 5.25", dont expect massive bass -- but does sound quite good for the size.

  • Summary: These speakers look clean and have a great sound. They are easy to install and complete the look on the back patio. They can pump plenty of sound too.

Can,t speak Chinese

Boat Builder, klipsch.com
5 July 2014
  • Excerpt: Don't assume that the different parts supplied will work together. They don't! The brackets are flimsy and to light to support the weight of the speakers when mounted verticaly they sag. The speaker are so close to the brackets that they cannot be turned when the banana jacks are installed in the only place provided. No, I didn't do it wrong. Klipsch are you kidding?
  • Pros: Good Audio
  • Cons: Bulky, Difficult To Set Up, Heavy, Klipsch Aw 525

Investigating Return Policy

GEORGE E., Amazon
24 April 2014
  • Summary: I gave this unit (2) starts because the sound quality exceeded my expectations. Right out of the box, you're all set for a block party. I spaced the speakers about 30ft apart, and the sound easily filled the "picnic" area of our front yard, an area of about 0.5 acre. However, I am now extremely disappointed because I bought these units as a gift for my technology challenged parents and the speakers simply DO NOT stand up to weather.

Purchased Used Speakers in Very Good Condition

Dean Riddle, Amazon
11 February 2014
  • Summary: Purchased used speakers advertised to be in very good condition. I expected scratch and dent conditon but I hooked the speakers up to 2 different receivers and they barely worked and played at a very low ... broken volume. The distributor has indicated that they will replace them and I have just shipped them back. They indicated that they will refund me the orginal shipping cost of approx $14 but it cost me about $22 to ship it back to them.

Kenny, Crutchfield
19 September 2013
  • Summary: Have had these for 4 years outside all summer in Houston, Tx. After 4 years the horn has cracked in both of the speakers. The sound was awesome very clear and excellent just would have expected maybe more then 4 years use.
  • Pros: Sound Easy to mount and move around
  • Cons: Not long lasting got about 1/2 the life of what I would have expected for the money I spent.

Nice

Magnum PI, Crutchfield
13 May 2013
  • Summary: Great tonal quality from a small size. I used these for background speakers in a large adjacent dining and living room with hardwood floors. They replaced an older set of Mirage speakers. I considered Bose and Polk but ultimately chose these because of the horn aspect of the tweeter would disperse the highs better, and of course the larger woofer might eliminate the need for a subwoofer. Sounds great!
  • Pros: Easy to mount to a wall.
  • Cons: Plastic housing may not sound as good as if it were wood based but this is designed to withstand the elements which includes high humidity that we experience here in Hawaii.
