Excerpt: A world class speaker that has garnered spectacular reviews and stands up against speakers costing tens of thousands of dollars more. From Stereophile (http: //www.stereophile.com/content/2015-recommended-components-fall-edition-loudspeakers)This tribute to the famed LS3/5a monitor was made to...
Summary: With apprehension I waited for these speakers: I was worried about being disappointed, reviews were glowing--too much hype, almost--though at least one blogger complained they are difficult to power. No worries now that they've arrived: They are as superb as you and I have read.
Summary: The white ones don't sound as good as the black ones. I think it has something to do with the orientation of the paint molecules involved in the manufacturing of white versus black paint. There is a higher level of molecular bonding in black paint over white.
I DON'T LIKE THE BLACK....PREFER THE WHITE WITH DARK BLUE SPEAKER CONES

Summary: I gave this one star because I do not like the GOLD SPEAKER CONE IN THE CENTER. Why? The gold stands out too much while listening to music....diverts my attention from the SOUND to the GOLD CONE.
Summary: I've been depressed recently and decided to splurge on a set of these after randomly stumbling into it browsing Amazon. In addition to a TEAC AI-501DA. I'm no longer depressed now. My ears wallow in bliss every time I crank these puppies up.
Summary: Just received a pair of LS50s to replace a 15 year old pair of Paradigm Studio 20s that have served me very well. This is for a music-only system in my home-office. I have no complaints about the Paradigms, they sound great. But I got the itch to try something new. Read a bunch of reviews..

Summary: 11/12/14 Simply have to update my review. I placed this at the recommended 50cm/20 inches off the wall. Five star then. However, on a whim, moved it an additional 13cm or so away from the wall. The difference floored me.
Summary: My first introduction to KEF was a home theater system I setup for a relative. My biggest impression was the high audio quality and sound quantity coming from a few compact sized speakers. Granted, the speakers were being driven from an average consumer grade AV receiver, but it blew me away.
Summary: I got curious about these when Stereophile gave them a much coveted A rating (with the caveat of "extreme" bass extension). A ratings are typically reserved for speakers in the (in average) $20k category.
