Excerpt: I wasn't certain these Studio 180's would fill my 15'x26' room with sound, but they turned out better then expected with my small 85w/channel Yamaha amp. Their only flaw is at the low end of bass or lack there of, but the speakers range rating reflected this so it was expected before I decided to...

Summary: These speakers are amazing. I spent about 2-3 months researching things. Took a plunge on this one as I did not want to spend more than 400 on a pair. These are really mighty speakers and a pleasure to hear. The highs, mids and lows so beautifully balanced.
Summary: For those who have figured out that you need 2 speakers for stereo (sold individually) and that they are passive - IE need to be powered by a stereo receiver, integrated amplifier or amplifier (won't run off a computer soundcard with some mystical adapter). They are a great set of speakers!
Pros: Great sound and easy to hook up. Have not tried Bi-amp set up, likely blow the walls off my apt. Fantastic deal, I purchased on special and paid less for the pair than Brick and Mortar stores wanted for just one. Outstanding!!!!
Cons: None yet, but my downstairs neighbor might have a complaint or two!!!!
Summary: These speakers are great for 2 channel stereo, providing plenty of bass response. Also great in a home theater set up. Couple these with the Studio 120c center channel, which is also a great speaker, and you have a fantastic front 3 speakers.
Pros: Great bass response. Unique design that looks good with grilles on. Provides a great sound stage. Great price on these.
Cons: A bit unstable on carpet. Unique design that looks weird with grilles off.
