Summary: I wanted something that was good in 2.0 channel as well as home theater. I own 2 other sets of speakers that the egg sells, and these just don't compare. If you don't mind EQing them you can get decent sound, Just the vocal frequency range is bad for spoken material.
Pros: They sound OK in 2 channel stereo with music. You can play them loud and they don't complain except for boomy bass.

Pros: Cheap, I bought them when they were on sale for dirt cheap. They go loud and weigh a decent bit like... they should, for their class.
Cons: Ugly.. might be somebodies style, not mine. I don't know what the crossover point of the "subwoofer" drivers are but I am guessing way to high to be mounted so low in the cabinet. Sound is good, but cabinet design is flawed and vibrates.

Summary: Overall sound on these JbL 180's is good. It appears that the design of the cabinet, with a separate enclosure for the mid-range speaker, is flawed. Once I hooked these up I heard an odd vibration sound.
Summary: Outer box wasn't properly taped, not secure and a little bit loose. Inner box(from manufacturer) have a obvious hole on it and wasn't properly taped or maybe was opened then re-taped, very likely is not a brand new item from manufacturer.
