week speakers

Keith L., Newegg
28 December 2014
  • Summary: JBL doesn't give any kind of reliable support, they told me they could not replace the x-overs cause the didn't have anymore. If u want strong speakers don't buy these.
  • Pros: They sounded good while they lasted
  • Cons: not Newegg's fault but these speakers blew the second month I had them and JBL still wont replace the crossovers and they are still under the factory warranty all they did was send me 1 driver!, x-overs are burnt up, Iv' had another brand speakers for over 5 years and they still play good using the same amplifier?

  • Pros: If I knew how to plug it in.
  • Cons: I received the JBL Studio 180, that's it, no cables, no adapters, nothing. I don't know how to plug it in to my computer.

Good sound quality, but internal resonance flaw.

Heather A., Newegg
7 April 2013
  • Summary: These speakers had an overall sound quality that was very good. Bass response was good, but there in lied the problem. If you have a receiver that can produce a good amount of bass, both speakers had a vibration and/or rattle coming from the mid range area of the cabinet. JBL states the mid-range speaker has it's own enclosure inside the cabinet, and I believe there in lies the problem. If you push a lot of bass from these, that enclosure has some resonance to it.
  • Pros: Overall sound quality good. Newegg handled the return of these speakers with no problems.
  • Cons: Internal vibration/rattle from mid-range enclosure. Ugly cabinet design.
