Summary: Speakers are very small, a lot smaller than I imagined. However, this can be something you desire when mounting in a family room. I do have to crank the volume fairly (60%) to get good sound in a fairly large room, however they produce crisp clean sound.
Summary: I'm surprised by the poor reviews for these speakers. I purchased them in combination with the . I live in an apartment with a sizable living room area, and these speakers combined with the receiver more than fill the space.
Summary: As with many JBL subs, the amp died outside of the warranty period, but less than four years after I bought it. Additionally, the whole series has been discontinued, and JBL customer support was useless. Buy this only if you want to purchase another subwoofer sooner than you'd like.
Excerpt: Unconciously, JBL had resgisterd in my mind as a tops speaker manufacturer. I went past a vintage SCS 75 passive subwoofer, and bought it. Clean, clear rounded unsurpasseda, so comfortable bass is what I GOT!
