Amazing sound from such a compact set of speakers

C. Lynch, Amazon
6 April 2013
  • Summary: I have had this for more than 6 years. Hardly ever go anywhere without it. Also for years when not traveling with me it is hooked up to my computer, iPad or roku in my kitchen. Everyone that comes into my kitchen is amazed that ths one little JBL portable speaker produces what they are listening to. Next, I am going to try the Bluetooth Version for my office.

great sound and so portable

Hershel, Amazon
17 February 2013
  • Summary: I had given mine [that I had had for years] to a new girl friend to use on the computer I gave her. Lost the girl friend, the computer and the JBL On Tour. When I finally remembered the name, I looked on the JBL site. [no longer available] then found it on Amazon. Since I do not have a TV, we watch movies on my laptop with the strong JBL sound.

Great idea!!

Schafe, JBL
9 January 2013
  • Excerpt: Ipods don't have speakers, right? Right. So if you and a friend wanted to watch a music video, a You Tube video, whatever the case, you both can watch together without either one hogging the the ear phones. Simply plug it in the ipod, turn the power on and BAM!! For $50.00 to share music videos, movies, pics and all that jazz with your friends and family is well worth it like ALL of JBL's products are!

Owned 3 years - great buy!

G. A. Barnier, Amazon
12 November 2011
  • Summary: I bought mine in 2008 after a long search and they have really held up. I use them for my laptop and with my iPods around the house - on trips - and in the yard around the lawn chairs. They are compact - fold up nicely - look good - are well made. And they are pretty dang loud and have decent bass if you are in a confined space, like my kitchen. Out in the yard, these sound a little thin.

Cruising with JBL On Tour Speakers

OverReaktor, Amazon
18 March 2010
  • Summary: I love these speakers. I've owned a JBL On Tour for almost two years until it broke due to repeated accidental yanking of the cord, but I bought a replacement because it looks slick, it sounds good for its size, and can be had for half the "normal" price if you search hard enough. A springy cord would be a good improvement for those of us who install these speakers on a bicycle.

Portable Music

Tim "espo", Amazon
27 January 2010
  • Summary: I am not sure if you can buy this JBL product any longer. This little speaker does a great job. It will not get so loud so as to drive you out of a room but it does a great job and travels very well. The volume is great for music inside or out - used at the beach and in the house.S/N is vey low and the batteries I use are rechargable - I get about 20 hours out of the batteries at a med volume level.

Fantastic tiny speakers

Diana L. Mercer "Diana Mercer, co-author Your..., Amazon
18 December 2009
  • Summary: Okay, they're not tiny-tiny but certainly travel size. The case is about the size of a hardback book and easy to pack in the suitcase. This was recommended to me by a sound engineer from Harmon Kardon (a friend) and he was right--this is one powerful set of speakers for the size! Great sound quality, too. I travel a lot for business and this is an essential part of my luggage. Turns a hotel room into a party!
