Summary: These are simple 2-way design with a 4" midrange and 1" soft some tweeter. These are a great example of what can happen when you take two modest components and execute the design with well chosen crossover points and enclosure design.
Summary: I bought these to replace the satellites on a Logitech Z2300 THX 2.1. The existing 15watt factory satellites had blown. The satellite amp specs are rated for 80 W (2 X 40 W) @ 8 ohms @ 10% THD @ 1kHz, so it was only a matter of time before factory speaker death at high volume levels.
Decent little speakers if you pair them with a subwoofer.

Summary: These are budget speakers, so don't get them confused with or expect them to perform like high dollar speakers. With just 4" drivers, these speakers simply cannot reproduce lower bass in music. When listening to music with lower bass present, you really know you are listening to small speakers.

Summary: Just bought a pair on sale at Fry's (paid $39.95 for the pair...new). I'm very impressed what these speakers put out. Better lows than expected after reading the reviews. I'm powering mine with a Lepai LP7498EA bluetooth amplifer and the combination kicks butt.
