Summary: 5.1 and 7.1 setups tend to put all the voice into one speaker, which would end up as this one, and really nothing small enough to sit under or hang above your TV in the center is going to be enough, it should really be spread like stereo format only as a third edition.I don't see where you could find many (if at all) that come close to as good as this one, but one speaker alone can only do so much,

Summary: My system has two JBL-L8400P subwoofers, a JBL LC2 center channel, JBL L820 left and right speakers, older JBL wall mounted bookshelf speakers for side surrounds, and Klipsch in-ceiling speakers for back surrounds. I'm powering things with a Denon AVR-X4000 receiver I know there are plenty of audiophiles out there that look down on mass produced speakers that sell for reasonable amounts, but, as a former professional soundman, I think my setup sounds great.
Mission accomplished in picking up dialogue with the JBL LC2 Center Channel Speaker
Peter R., Amazon
2 January 2014
Summary: I am a bit hard of hearing and wanted to upgrade my center channel speaker to pick up dialogue I have been missing. I am quite impressed with the JBL LC2 speaker and bought one for both of my home theater systems. The cabinet is nicely finished in black stained oak. My only regret is that the speaker is quite tall at 12.5 inches, so I had to raise my TV up a bit more than I would have preferred. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of this speaker.
Summary: The first one I got stopped working after a couple days while watching a movie. I was in the middle of watching a move and the two speakers for high frequencies stopped working. After testing all other components and different content I determined it was the center channel itself. There wasn't a lot of mention of this online so I figured it was a freak incident. Luckily it happened within the return period an Amazon swiftly replaced the unit.
