Summary: This unit is night and day better than my old cheap center speaker. I still remember the day that I bought that old speaker and just didn't have a lot of money to spend at the time. It would have been better to have bought a better center speaker as it is the most important surround speaker. I'd love to give this a 5 star and it's really more like 4 1/2. But it still is not a perfect sound to me. It sounds just ever so slightly tinny or like through a cone...
Summary: I used it together with my pair of JBL L830. These speakers work together perfect and provide excellent sound quality for the price. (I paid a little bit more than $500 for all 3 pieces). The only drawback of this speaker is the size. It is not that easy to setup with LCD panels.
Summary: I got this speaker as a replacement for an old entry level center speaker. All i can say is wow. The highs and mids are very clear and pronounced, and i have yet to hear this speaker struggle. Also much to my surprise this speaker does add to the low end as well. Not quite enough to add to the punch but you definitely hear it. Also to be noted, i personally don't find the highs to be to harsh considering the titanium dome.
Summary: I have had a 5.1 JBL speakars system for a while (3 front speakers and 2 back speakers). My new Sony receiver (purchased from Amazon) supports 7.2 speakers configuration. This simply means that I can connect 3 front speakers, 4 surround sound back speakers and 2 subwoofers to it. I always wanted to add a new center channel for the front and use my current center channel as the surround sound speaker in the back along with one subwoofer - a 6.1 configuration.
Summary: The sound quality is absolutely fantastic. Classy look at a great price. You can hear the voices very clearly without having to have the volume so high it blows you out of the room. I have it paired with the L830s for fronts and other high and rear surrounds and the sound brings you into whatever you are watching. Does great with playing music as well.
