Summary: I'd been using a JBL center speaker for the past ten years and it performed very well. Unfortunately, it was beginning to tire and I decided it was time to replace it. This new speaker was just what the doctor ordered and I couldn't be more pleased.
Summary: This center channel speaker is top notch, I went from having a small JBL satellite speaker as my center channel speaker to this and what a world of difference it made! Great bang for the buck!
Summary: Several years ago, I bought a pair of JBL L810s as my l/r stereo speakers. They are quite good, but w/the advent of more surround sound options, on blu-ray and cable, I knew I was missing a lot of audio "information." Should I replace them w/a DefTech or Yamaha 4300 soundbar (both $1600++)? I decided to try this upgrade, under $260, instead. This JBL center channel is quite a revelation.
Summary: I bought this center speaker as a replacement for an older Infinity speaker. It definitely sounded better. I was disappointed in the measurements of the speakers/drivers. I expected them to be a little larger. I honestly couldn't figure out how they got their 5.25" measurement. Maybe my lack of knowledge in measuring of speakers.
Summary: I've purchased mid to high-price, Polk speakers, but this JBL was noticeably crisper and smoother than my high-end Polk center speaker from 12 years ago. On Amazon, the price was extremely low compared to other sources. I would definitely recommend this speaker for music, and it puts out really high, distortion free volume when playing Blu ray movies. Additionally, it has four, gold-plated terminals for those who wish to bi-amp. Just remove the gold-plated jumper bars.
Summary: I never knew how important upgrading the center speaker was until now. I had a Klipsch center speaker before but this JBL is awesome. The bass is very nice which the Klipsch did not have and the total sound is incredible. It is very heavy but looks great in the black ash wood. You get what you pay for in stereo and this is well worth it. Best price here too.
Summary: I use this speaker as the center channel for home theater. It provides life-like sound and is part of an all JBL system that includes standing tweeters, a subwoofer and build-into-the-wall rear speakers. The sound is nothing short of theater-like.
Summary: My set up is a Yamaha RX-V675 receiver and JBL E Series speakers. My main speakers are JBL E50 and I thought they were the best since I have had them for years and the sound performance is great. I have JBL speakers throughout my home, patio and garage. I may be bias but I have always been impressed with the sound. Since I purchased my Yamaha receiver I needed a better center speaker. I was going to purchase the JBL ES series but read the reviews on the LC1.
