Great speakers at a value price.

Dr R, Amazon
9 March 2014
  • Summary: I used these for my home theater. They are a quality speaker at a value price. They are not the most visually appealing hanging on the walls but look fine to me. They sound great. I found a matching JBL center speaker to complete the set.

check your package when it arrives

Shabby Shack, Amazon

  • Summary: I wrongfully assumed these were new speakers and left them unopened for two week. Upon my return, I unpacked to find that I was missing the rubber feet and bracket screws. Was very disappointed in being sold for new price when clearly they had been opened as the other pair that I ordered came with everything.

Best speakers in 20 years.

John WT Cowan, Amazon
1 January 2013
  • Summary: To be fair also my first speakers in 20 years. Great size as they will fit on a bookshelf with ease. Fantastic sound for such a small package. Works really well with the LC2 Centre but I am about to purchase a sub-woofer as the bottom end lacks just a bit.

Not sure they are satellites...

7 January 2011
  • Excerpt: Due to a floor space shortage, I am using these as my mains for the family room. They look excellent hanging on the wall, and were easy to install (except for the template that comes with it didnt match the back of the speaker). I find the full range for them to be very good for their size, but I am using a JBL sub to handle the lower range. I have only had these for about 2 weeks now.. so I have run the full gamut of use on them yet.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Great Sound Quality, Not boxy, Small
  • Cons: Not a lot of room in back

As good as you'll need if you're mounting to the wall and pairing with a subwoofer

HP "HP", Amazon
3 January 2011
  • Summary: I went with these in part for the WAF (Wife Approval Factor). If you're trying to set up something for sonic perfection, you'll want monitors on stands or towers, either of which need to be several feet away from the walls. I knew that no matter what I got, they were going to be pushed right up against the wall, because it looks neat and orderly. It's hard to find bookshelfs that are not ported.

Very nice speakers

Ballgame, B&H Photo
29 November 2010
  • Excerpt: Bought to replace a set of JBL Decade Series speakers that got broke during a move. They sound really good but don't seem to be quite as full sounding as the Decade ones. [...] The photo is not entirely accurate, the speakers are mirror image so you can position them with woofers inward or outward depending on placement spacing and personal preference.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Easy to Mount, Good Power Output

A big step up

John A. Fierro "ugubugulugu", Amazon
5 February 2010
  • Summary: These fit my room to a tee. Low profile for my bookshelf's. Sound is great on the front 2 speakers and not as room consuming as 2 floor standing speakers. I first bought the center and immediately knew I needed the 4 more for my front and side speakers. I used the original Onkyo 6100 fronts for the rear and the whole thing just works.

Midrange Speakers

B. Williams, Amazon
11 January 2008
  • Summary: It's hard to buy speakers, retail stores have a limited selection and most of them sit on a shelf where it's hard to judge quality. In the passed 25 years speaker quality has improved greatly, good speakers used to be expensive, taking up a lot of space in a room. These days there are dozens of compact systems for under $500. Usually you get what you pay for with speakers and the cheap ones are not worth having if you have a decent amp.
