Summary: After reading the reviews here and elsewhere, I noticed some good formulated medium rated comments. I live in Guatemala, so buying these speakers on line was a silly choice due to shipping. So I bought them locally. More so, now that I think about it, if you're searching for any kind of speakers the best way to go is to go to an actual store and listen to them. When you choose the ones you like the best, then purchase them wherever and however you prefer.
Excerpt: These Speakers are great sounding Speakers when they are in perfect working order with clear balanced sound. I've owned these speakers now for just over a year I purchased them first quarter of 2011. Let me first off by stating that these speakers are strictly used in a Home Theater Room powered by an Onkyo-NR809 and have never been overly powered by any means and have been 100% without a doubt always been connected correctly.
Summary: These speakers are great to go "deaf" to. I put on a "Who" DVD and played it at concert level. My wife said she could hear it in the street driving up to our house from work. My 28 year old son and his friend recommended these to me when I told him I wanted to upgrade my big screen TV and BluRay machine to a "theater experience." First BluRay disc on speakers was Woodstock. A literal "blast from the past" experience.
Summary: i bought these speakers based on the fact that i had purchased jbl products in the past and had no complaints. the great reviews also helped along with the price. when i got them they were bigger than i expected but impressive nontheless. i hooked them up to a recently purchased yamaha receiver and only listened to audio from a couple of movies but was pleasantly suprised at the detail and imaging especially in a cable showing of "star wars.
Excerpt: I'm a bit of an audiophile; my reference system is B&W and I've owned a lot of speakers over the years (Paradigm, PSB, Axiom etc.). I wanted a second home theatre setup that wouldnt break the bank and set out to put together the best speaker system I could for under $1,000. I did a ton of research and listened to just about everything.
Excerpt: I have owned various home theaters and had a mismatch of speakers. Been buying same product line cause have a friend who works on stereos and mentioned having to many different speakers may conflict with others. Invested on JBLs to match others I have and no this point no regrets. Good sound for the price. Check the specs on others and have a similar characteristics for more monies. They have such good bass as well that I had to lower the volume on my subwoofer.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Mount, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
