Summary: I was trying to find a pair of JBL E100 speakers because they had the 10 inch woofers. I thought they would sound better than the 8 inch the ES90 has. The ES90 sound better than the E100, so don't bother looking for a used pair of E100.
Summary: I upgrade from a set of Sony SSF-5000 which, to my disappointment, lacked decent crossover networks and were extremely muddy sounding. Even with a less than top of the line receiver, these provide even definition of sound from the bottom to top.
Summary: way over price no bass way to high treble junk these are the worst speakers i ever bought. all the write ups and reviews a bunch of bulls***!im very sorry i got these im using a yamaha rx3010 $1600 reciever that puts out 140watts times 7.2 just don't seem to be able to push these wrecks.NO BASS...
Summary: Outstanding sound and value. I grew up on the legendary JBL 100's and these come close. They are lacking the 100's crisp, penetrating highs -- a characteristic of JBL for my ears. I have some of their Stadium speakers -- which are better and were cheaper and were discontinued.
