Summary: This speakers are the best speakers i ever own in my life. the sound is outstanding and the lows and highs and even mediums are truly hearable and surpasses my music proffesion. i truly recomend them by being one speaker dedicated person for over 16 years.
Summary: Granted I have not owned any really expensive speakers in my life, but I have listened to a lot. These speakers have a sub-woofer, two woofers, a midrange and a tweeter and they sound very well balanced with good separation and a lot of power. I am enjoying them very much. They make me appreciate music that is well performed and the above average singing voices. Worth the money.
Summary: this is my first tower speaker, it's sounds much better than 5.1 home theatre. also the old system with the subwoofer is was bothering our neighbours, this one is much more louder but nobody is complain.
Summary: I haven't had many audio systems and these speakers are actually the first column speakers I have had. I bought them to upgrade the shelf speakers that come with my HTR-5935 Yamaha receiver. Eventhough they both have 6.5" woofers the difference is enormous, specially the high and mid sounds where I think these speakers really shine. About the bass sounds you'll definetely need a subwoofer.
Summary: I have had these speakers for 2 weeks now and they sound GREAT!!! I have them "bi-amp" wired off of my pioneer vsx-1015txk and these have a teriffic full range clear sound with nice tight bass. I gave them 5 stars because these speakers should cost more money. You wont be dissapointed!!!!
Summary: These speakers will literally change the way you hear your music or movie collection. They beautifully separate the a capella voices of (for example) Ladysmith Black Mambazo and make it sound as though they are performing in your living room. They provide crystal clear audio upgrades to any of the Dolby or other options on a relatively sophisticated home theatre system, even one with previously great L-R speakers (infinity), and they fill even a large room with amazing...
Summary: There's a few people suffering (they compared with their horrible speakers with Northridge) Let me tell you that is excellent JBL a Family Series, they give them a lesson how to research, design and built loudspeakers to half known and mediocre and semi old reputed companies. This series must be more expensive!! This first time I wanted an Infinity Alpha 40chz, but I saw these guys...
Summary: I bought a pair of the E80's last june (2004) at BB and like the other reviewer these blew away the Klipsch and the Polk. The Polk had too much seperation, they sounded more like a reference speaker (perhaps better for someone who listens to lots of electronic) and the Klipsch tended to be a little bass-oriented. That is what I like about these JBL's--crisp highs and good mid-bass, but they know when the sub should take care of the real bass.
