Summary: Subwoofer was defective. Subwoofer started making a high pitched noise as soon as it was powered on. JBL customer service is of absolutely no help. Thankfully Amazon know how to treat their customers, they are fully refunding me. I would advice anyone who is thinking about buying this product to hesitate. The problem I had with my subwoofer is a known defect and JBL still sells them.
Summary: I bought this system last year, and the sub has already died. I have attempted to get it warrantied and I am not getting a response from JBL. Even when the sub did work, the performance was dismal, my alarm clock could produce more base(exaggeration, but not by much). The speakers have been okay, and if it wasn't for the sub and poor customer service I would give them 4 stars for the price.
Summary: So, I set up the speakers and everything, and for the first week everything worked fine. Then the subwoofer broke, refusing to power on. Called up JBL customer service, which is an Indian call center, and asked for an address where I could get the subwoofer fixed under warranty. They gave me a company name and address. I looked them up afterwards, they're not there anymore or out of business. I call customer service again.
