Summary: I connected these to my Sony receiver and I love them. I appreciate the fact they provided speaker wire for all speakers with ample length along with the dual option for mounting. I would have given this five stars, but JBL didn't include the screws for mounting - which I thought was odd.
Summary: I have a new Yamaha RX-V675 7.1 channel receiver, and wanted a new 5.1 speaker system,I chose these because of the reviews,My new receiver has Pure Direct, which bypasses all the sound programs and just plays to the front speakers,it also bypasses the sub. Before I get started on my review, let me say...
Summary: I purchased the JBL CS480 system as a surround setup for our main TV. The room that the TV is in is oddly shaped and not the most ideal place to set up a surround system. I went with the JBL for three reasons: JBL's reputation in audio, the small speaker sizes, and the fact that mounting brackets...
Summary: I wanted JBL ever since, so when it went on sale I said why not try and I wasn't wrong I happen to like it and replaced my energy take5. I always see JBLs and bose used in the malls and some clothing shops. sounds very good.
Pros: crisp clear sound and also very good for music. had a polk rm6750 then energy take1 and this JBL. these three brands are good. also tried to mixed them too for my 7.1 but these JBLs have the cleanest crisp sound and had the 2 energy take5 on the rear surround.
Cons: the subs are just right but you might need a second one.
Summary: The speakers are shaped so that they MUST be mounted on something to use since the speakers are top heavy and will just fall over constantly if not properly mounted. No just leaving on the shelf without mounts. Sound pressure alone will keep knocking them over, let alone if you have pets or Kids.
Cons: Didn't work out of the box. Either the receiver is bad or the speakers. I now have to sift through the manuals to see why the speakers or receiver isn't working. I am only getting audio on two of the six speakers.
