Beware of Jawbone Jambox products! Very common blown speaker issues

Summary: I purchased this shortly after the original Jawbone. I think they both sounded great and far better than any other bluetooth speakers in their respective class. After about 2 years for each speaker they blew. I was so upset, especially over this one because I paid $300 for it!
Summary: I bought this about 15 months ago as a birthday gift to my brother. Recently it developed a problem which sounds like a busted speaker. To our horror and surprise Jawbone advised that they do not have a repair shop nor are spare parts available !
Excerpt: I picked up this speaker on sale and recommend it to everyone. The sound is amazing and also it's battery life. It is louder than a Bose sound link. Battery gauge is on screen for iPhone 5. Only downside to it is that it doesn't come with a case for it like the other jambox's.
Summary: First some background on myself: I am a computer engineer with a passion for music and have listened and played (guitar and keyboard) with all kinds of gear for over forty years. Through the years I have even built my own speaker systems so I have a some experience with audio equipment.
Summary: I bought this to compare to the Bose Soundlink II. I prefer the Bose and here's why...this is a very awkward shape. It's a very large brick with really sharp corners. It won't slide into a bag easily and although it sounds decent for its size, it didn't impress me enough to want to keep it.
Good product but Bad, Bad, Bad, treatment from Jawbone

Summary: This product is a good product until it breaks. However, I had to return my item and the after sale treatment that i am getting is horrible. I will NEVER buy anything made by this company again.
