Summary: the sound and voices are clear and crisp, well worth the 200$USD I paid for these on Amazon. I bought the set in the WENGE colour and it's AMAZING, the pictures don't do it justice. the pictures on Amazon are over exposed and too bright showing the set looks like cheap vinyl but IT IS NOT, the colour is actually very DEEP and much nicer. I wouldn't trade these for anything in the 200$ range.
Summary: I was looking for a very budget friendly setup and spent a couple months listening to speakers in stores and reading many online reviews.I found this set on amazon for 199 and was a little skeptical on what they would sound like, look like, build quality etc. I opened these up and just said wow.199 really? Well I found a Denon AVR 1913 on clearance for 149.95, a Pioneer sw-8mk2 Andrew Jones sub for 149.95.
Summary: First off coming from a house where dad only used vega's,I don't have it like that yet. I came from sony speakers small ones. These from the sony's is like night and day. They sound clear I hear everything now in music and movies. I have them paired with a sony STR-DH540 at 6ohm they sound great! I got a Dayton Sub 1200 12". That thing hits so low and hard from my sony 10". I plan to get another Dayton 12" in the next week.
Summary: I bought these speakers based on the other reviews thinking "how bad can they be for under $200". I was very pleasantly surprised by every aspect of this system. The cabinets are not cheap feeling, they have a solid weight to them and the finish is beautiful. Definitely not a "budget" speaker look. The color in the pictures is more gray than in real life. They are actually a dark brown with even darker grain patterns.
Summary: The price tag made me a little nervous but after opening the box and getting them all wired to my Pioneer receiver along with a B&W sub, I am very impressed and happy with the purchase. If you are thinking about this system you will want to add a sub, it really completes this system!. As for the speakers themselves, excellent mids and highs! Great for the price!
Summary: If your on a tight budget and don't have lot's of room for bigger towers then this is a great buy. The fronts do a decent job with bass and overall sound quality. It isn't a super high end system but for the average listener it works great. I also have to say the finish on the speakers looks a lot better in person than in the pictures.
Summary: The rich sound from this system is the best I have ever heard. I thought it would be good from the reviews but when I hooked up the Yamaha amp it was fantastic. I have full theater sound and when I added the Polk 10" sub-woofer this system rocks. I have never heard a more impressive sound system at any volume. I used to sell audio equipment so I can say I have some expertise in this area. Totally flat across most of the spectrum; they need a good sub to be complete.
Summary: I'll start by saying you look at all the aspects of these speakers, and it's a little hard to create a total review picture, also if it let me I'd have said it was a 4.5 star rating, regardless of price you feel there are things that should knock off half a star... My speakers came absurdly well packed in the factory boxing, your mail service could kick it off the back of the truck and my bet is they would still be fine, it looked like the Australian service side had a...
Summary: I have had these speakers for about a month now. So for they sound great but you will need a sub woofer to get the full home theater experience. They are a big upgrade from my Sony speakers. Still running on a Sony receiver that I need to upgrade to. The center speaker is the reason I bought these & the price was cheap for the hole setup can't beat it. Movies sound great vocals are clear and load now music sounds good to no complaints so far.
