Summary: This is just what I wanted out of an ihome. It charges my ipod while letting me listen to my music. I use it all the time, and I've had it for a while now. Has pretty decent sound quality, too.
Summary: Much smaller than I thought it would be, but I suppose I should have guessed that since it's technically supposed to be portable. However, I have an iPhone 4 and for some reason the iHome won't play its music (although it plays my fiancee's iPhone 4s just fine). It recognizes the iPhone because it'll charge, but when I try to play music it says that it's not supported despite that the box claims it supports iPhone 4's.
Summary: Depth wise, this can accommodate a case but a case also raises the iPhone which takes it just off of the pins enough to get a faulty connection. Sometimes it will charge.... sometimes it will not. It is like a weird grey area where you have to be extra vigilant and make sure you press it down hard enough for it to start charging and hope you don't bump it.... otherwise your phone will be dead for the next day.
Summary: This is a great little dock with decent sound that has withstood frequent use by my three children and their various devices. We have gone through several other similar products that have not held up nearly as well.
