Summary: I wanted a soundbar that would enhance speech from my Samsung TV. It is absolutely terrific. Speech is clear and concise and the overall sound is very rich. It was easy to set up and looks great mounted below the TV.
Summary: This systems sound quality is impressive. I get complements about it all the time. For parties I turn the bass to full and the overall power at 60 percent. At that setting you can feel the power of the subwoofer and it will begin to rattle the windows. Personally, I bought this sound system over all the others in this price range because of its Bluetooth capability. It is a great feature that I utilize all the time.
Summary: First up, let me preface by saying I write reviews for one purpose: to help others get the product that best meets their needs. I don't have anything vested in this review, and frankly don't care whether Harmon succeeds or fails. I just care about providing as insightful info as I can. Secondly, I am NOT a sound snob or "audiophile." I don't want to learn MHz feedback rates or junk, I just want a sound system that sounds great for tv and movies. This is not that system.
Summary: This did not get a perfect rating because of the instructions. The product came quickly and was packaged securely. Unfortunately the instructions were very hard to decipher which turned a 15 minute connection into two days. After searching on line and finding a YouTube video, presto sound was abound. Love the woofer.
Summary: Bought the SB26 for my living room which is large and shaped like an octagon. The unit is plenty powerful and provides an experience which is comparable to higher priced home theater systems. I mounted the unit directly beneath my wall mounted LED TV and use the optical feed from my TV to source the SB26. The unit performs flawlessly this way. I have placed the sub roughly 25 ft from the soundbar and the lows are amazing. Music from my turntable is crisp and clear.
Summary: Had the sound bar for about a month and I am very pleased. It was twice the amount for what I budgeted for but it is twice the sound quality of Sony, LG, etc. As good if not better than the Bose sr1 at a third of the price. The Klipsch sb1 has a deeper base but the highs aren't as clean and the sb1 is not bluetooth capable. I use it for my bedroom which is bit of an overkill for sure.
Summary: The HK SB25 sounds great, but after an evening of set-up and listening I boxed it up and returned it. I ultimately purchased the Denon S514 and am much happier with it. The reasons why I returned the HK: 1. The HK doesn't work at low volumes. Level 1 is about as quiet as can be, but Level 2 is actually louder than we typically watch TV. Apparently others have had this problem too. This was a deal breaker. 2.
Pros: Low volume control; poor remote learning; frustrating to set-up.
