Summary: Purchased for an executive who wanted better quality speakers, they look and sound awesome. He was a little surprised at the size but I told him you have to have some size in order for good bass response.
Summary: Speakers arrived on-time, packed well, and in proper working order; however, the sound quality is very muddy and not full. The treble seems clear enough, but the bass is messy. I wasn't expecting much bass from these anyway, but the bass that is produced is artificially muddy and uncontroled. I know these are cheap speakers, so I wasn't expecting much. But for almost $50, with shipping, I expected better.
Summary: I needed a pair of speakers for my new Audio-Technica record player. I didn't know anything about what kind of speakers to buy, I just needed some small-ish shelf speakers to play my records on. I never heard of these speakers or this brand prior to buying them. I did a general search for speakers on Amazon and thought these looked nice, were a nice price, and had nice reviews.
Summary: When it comes to speakers, a little heft is a good thing. Plastic cases just can't produce clean, solid bass. These speakers have wooden cases that look nice, sound awesome and anything but lightweights. I use them for video playback of DVDs, BluRays and a gaming setup with a PS3 and xbox 360. The sound is smooth with enough bass to make movies sound satisfying. They produce enough volume to fill the room. No thunder-bass from these little guys.
Summary: For the price you'd be hard pressed to find better speakers. The build quality and sound quality are great as well as their appearance. I should note it comes with a cable already affixed to the back so no need to buy an additional 3.5mm audio cable for it which I did accidentally.
