Awesome for the Price!

Stephanie P., Newegg
15 January 2015
  • Summary: The casual budget-conscious user won't be disappointed.
  • Pros: For the price, they are great! Volume is strong and sound is clear. If you are a true audiophile, you might be disappointed, but for budget speakers you can't go wrong here. I use them on my desktop for web browsing, videos, and casual gaming.
  • Cons: Only con is that the volume control is on the bass speaker. For a few dollars more, they sell a version with a wired desktop remote.

Good for the price.

Shaun W., Newegg
5 December 2014
  • Summary: I wish I could delete my first review where I gave 1 egg. These are quality speakers for the price.
  • Pros: Good sound for the price.
  • Cons: I feel like an idiot, of course most speakers would have the volume on the desktop speakers not on the bass. That's not the case with these. I was so mad that there was no volume control and the speakers were not loud at all, but then I found it.

No volume control / Not loud

Shaun W., Newegg
3 December 2014
  • Pros: Cheap? Fast shipping!
  • Cons: No volume control. I see people complaining about no bass? What about sound. I bought these to replace speakers that I bought for about $9, which may be distorted but they had a volume control and were a lot louder than these. I normally don't write reviews and hardly ever give less than 3 eggs b...

Too small

Jason L., Newegg
14 February 2014
  • Summary: Get something better, totally not worth $25.... More like $10... It works and has good sound at low levels, but that's it.
  • Pros: Small design. Good for limited spaces
  • Cons: No bass. Its nearly non exsistant. And the highs do not get very loud. This is more of a temporary item.

Not bad for the money

Clifton C., Newegg
13 February 2014
  • Summary: These will work well for me. I would not recommend them if you need speakers for your primary entertainment source i.e. if you primarily listen to your music on the device you are getting them for. Of course if you are shopping for entertainment center style speakers I would spend more than $25.
  • Pros: Cheap Easy to hook up Volume range from very quiet to relatively loud
  • Cons: None at this time

Works for the price

Matt P., Newegg
20 January 2014
  • Summary: Why cant the power switch and volume knob be on the speakers that sit on the desk? This is very frustrating. If your not going to put the sub up on the desk next to you I wouldnt reccommend this.
  • Pros: Cheap. Works.
  • Cons: -NO Bass at all -Volume knob is on the sub -Power switch is on the BACK of the sub -Super bright LED on the sub makes me have to switch it off each night.

... in the kitchen and this turned out to be better than I expected

Cookiee, Amazon
4 December 2013
  • Summary: I needed a small speaker system for my tv/dvd combo in the kitchen and this turned out to be better than I expected. It gives added sound to my programs and I really enjoyed watching them with this enhanced sound. All I had to do was plug into the headphone jack and I had sound for the dvd's and tv.

Not the best bang for the sound buck

Dave Sparks, Amazon
20 November 2013
  • Summary: I was pretty disappointed with the sound quality on these speakers. The bass is almost non-existent and the sound can be tinny at anything more than low volume. I've had cheaper speakers with fuller, more robust sound.
