Summary: I really want to like this speaker set...but I can't. The subwoofer is awful. The speakers are tinny-sounding. I don't hear the "punch" like my old set had, but I guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommend these if you have good hearing and a sense of how something should sound.
Summary: This speaker system is better than anything in that price range at your local super store or electronics chain. Worth waiting for the shipping. I am not comparing this to top end systems, but in it's price range nothing I have seen is as good outside of clearance sales or whatnot...
Summary: I am using it at home and gave it 3 stars becuse I am using it for a laptop and the audio jack is nor the best for something that is constantly being plugged in as in a lap top or mp3 decice! If you are using. It for a PC or IMac it would be OK but otherwise, get a new audio jack and splice it in otherwise you will be doing a lot of wiggliing to get sound! It would've been nice if gear head made that interchangeable as well!
Summary: I originally purchased comparable creative lab speakers which were a bit more expensive. I was very disappointed with the sound. I gifted the creative speakers and then purchased these with admittedly very low expectations. I was really surprised. These speakers were much better than the creative offering.
Summary: It's about $20.00 all in all.. the picture makes it look like the subwoofer is at least 6 inches. It is not, it is like 4 inches on the subwoofer, it is a very small system, and you can buy those cheaper "Vibe" brand speakers for half this total, and get really the same thing. A better system at the same price is a Insignia PCS21. Cyber Acoustics model 3550 is $40.00 and it is a great deal, what a wonderful sound! You have to have the room, they are much larger.
