Summary: People are going to think I am crazy but here goes nuthin'...I had to liquidate my $20K plus system which included DefTech Super Towers x 4, two Carver subs, DefTech Mythos One surround back speakers and a DefTech Mythos 9 center. All of this was driven by a Pioneer top of the line SC-09TX receiver. Source components included Pioneer BD-09FD BluRay player and a PS3.
Summary: I love these speakers! I can not believe the incredible sound we get from these little Energys! I labored over reviews for a few weeks trying to decide on a really good set of speakers that wouldn't break the bank. These Energy 5.1 Take Classics fit the bill! I have them paired up with a Pioneer VSX-31 receiver. I'm no audiophile, I just love a wide variety of music. Everything sounds awesome pumping thru these, as well as movies with the surround sound.
I would recommend this system, good value, great product, remarkable sound!

Summary: I have own different speaker systems throughout the year and my most recent system was a Bose Accout. 10. I was happy with my current system but was looking for something that was just a little bit more fun. I read many different reviews and went to audio blog sites. This Energy take classic was one that was highly recommend. This is by no means the best system on the market. For the money it is a great system. I will never go back.
Summary: I used to own a Samsung HTIB that I thought had decent sound. Was I ever wrong. I never knew anything about DTS:HD-MA until I hooked these Take Classics to my Pioneer VSX-1020-K receiver. The first movie that I watched was 3:10 To Yuma which has an excellent soundtrack, and audio track. I honestly have to give these speakers top marks for clarity, power, and sounding larger than they actually are. The best part in my opinion is the sub.
Summary: Recently purchased the Energy 5.1 Take Classic for my newly purchased Denon AVR 1911 receiver and new Sony Blu Ray player. WoW! At first I was going to put off all purchases because I could not afford the much more expensive speakers that I wanted to buy (Focal Domes). Purchased the Energy 5.1 from the reviews on CNET and am extremely happy with the results. The Blu Ray Sherlock Homes sounded spectacular in the 5.1 surround sound.
Summary: At first I was concerned about how the piano black finish would look but once I received it I was impressed. They have a classy gloss appearance which actually makes them look more expensive in my opnion. The speakers feel like they are well constructed and have a very good weight. The sound quality is outstanding especially for their size. I am no audiophile but this system is perfect for movies/tv. The subwoofer is outstanding and has more options than I had expected.
Summary: I had owned a Sony HTCT-100 sound bar for several months and while it was satisfactory. I wanted something that could produce a decent sound i.e. 5.1 at an affordable price and was highly rated. I spend several weeks researching and realized that in every audio forum the Energy brand carried a mention.
Summary: You read the subject right! 7 channel surround sound. I bought the Take Classic 5.1 set off Amazon and thought the sound was so completely amazing that I was able to contact Energy and purchase two additional satellite speakers. I currently run a 7.1 system (including two front "height" speakers.) I have been debating getting another subwoofer to really beef up the music experience, but right now I'm pretty happy.
Summary: I can not believe how amazing these speakers sound! I have auditioned these speakers for the past three days. My first day, the center channel was not working correctly and I had trouble finding the right settings on my new receiver. This was all due to user error, I later realized. I was not very impressed and was ready to send these back. I eventually got the user error sorted out and these speakers just came to life.
