Summary: If you are looking for speakers in this price range don't even think about it, buy these! I bought these along with the Onkyo TX-SR508 receiver. I had done days of looking for speakers prior to buying these. Quite honestly, I had never heard of Energy speakers!
Summary: One word "Absolutely Awesome Home Theatre System". I'm using this with a Denon 2311ci Receiver and i am literally rocking the house down. The satellite speakers are not too big and not too small but make a lot of fantastic quality noise, the Bass from the system really is amazing.
Summary: I'm a novice at putting together home theater systems because I've always owned Bose. You open the box and it's all there with Bose. What I wasn't ready for was all the extras I had to buy. For novices putting together their systems for the first time this is for you.
Summary: I did a lot of research and found overwhelmingly positive reviews for this on a variety of sites before buying. I replaced a 5.1 set of about 3 year old Sony speakers. I pulled the Energy speakers out of the box and the satellite speakers are tiny.
Summary: First off, the speakers come in a nice glossy black finish which blends in very well with my furniture. The four satellite speakers are a reasonable size and aren't distracting. The center speaker is larger but is very innocuous when placed into a TV stand center speaker cubbyhole.
Summary: I am pleased with the performance of the Energy Take Classic 5.1 speakers. The sound nicely fills my medium-sized living room that is now doubling as our quasi home theater. The sound is clean, and my Pioneer VSX-1020 receiver was able to auto-calibrate with them without a single hitch.
Summary: Great set of speakers. Sound good and look great. Only drawback as I seen it is that you cannot get extra sattelite speakers for making a 7.1 or 9.1 channel system. Also, speakers have a single mounting point on the back rather than two which makes it a little tricky to mount properly on my Sanus...
Summary: I wouldn't consider myself a true audiophile, but I am musically trained and I have a very good ear. Obviously I wanted a good sounding system, but unfortunately I am a college student with a very limited budget.
Summary: Well To start things off me and my wife are getting ready to move...My home theater consists of paradigm center and rear surrounds, four foot advent tower speakers, and an acoustic research 12" subwoofer...These speakers have a very LARGE sound, and they should because of their size..
Summary: These speakers sound amazing both for music and for movies. They have very crisp treble and a full, warm midrange. Coupled with the Energy ESW-8HG subwoofer, the bass blended perfectly with the satellites to provide a very well-balanced sound.
