Summary: I was looking for a good surround system that was inexpensive and provided decent quality sound. I was also looking for small speakers as my TV is in a fairly small room. Based on numerous reviews, I went with the Energy Take Classic. The speakers fit the bill.
Summary: I tested these against Boston Acoustics satellite speakers that I currently own. Very attractive package, and can really hit the high notes, but somewhat lacking on the low end, even with a subwoofer.
Summary: I chose this speaker system based on some great reviews from review sites but returned it. Its sound quality was so disappointing both for movies and music. It's not so much different with my gaming PC speakers.
Summary: For their size they have large sound when coupled with a sub but I was quite surprise that right out of the box with no time on them they sounded pretty good, a bit tight. After playing these 30 hours or so they sound even better.
Great Home Theater Speakers - Have a Good Receiver
28 January 2013
Summary: These speakers really do provide some amazing sound clarity. I spent the whole weekend running 12 gauge speaker cable through the walls, under the floor, etc and mounting these guys. I watched the pro bowl last night and was astonished by the clarity of the sound.
Summary: I tried the take rc-micro for a few days before returning them and trying the Take 5. The take 5 has a much fuller sound, as the rc-micro I defimitely missed some oomph in the lower mid or upper-bass range (think somethimg wih a lot of trombones or french horns like lord of the rings).
Summary: Do not think too long on getting these little speakers, They are great. I have a large living room that is open to my dining room. I mounted them to the walls at ear level and they sound fantastic with my Denon receiver. I have compared them to the Quintets and the Energy is better.
Summary: Before buying these, I had done all of my research, and this system seemed to have the best reviews for their size hands down. I still was not prepared for how amazing they are! I have heard many $1000+ systems that don't compare to these. Positives: -All of the speakers blend together so well.
