Summary: Connected to the Yamaha RX-V667 this speaker system fills the room nicely in our 22X18 media room. The recevier can handle more speaker power but for the size of the room the speakers deliver full, rich 7.2 surround sound.
Summary: I purchased the Energy system in August of this year and am extremely impressed with its performance. I should preface this review by disclosing that I am a heavy researcher, my wife says bordering on compulsive. Whenever I am considering a large purchase I plot and plan for weeks, scouring reviews and forums pertaining to whatever product it is I'm interested in. My aim in this research is to get the best possible value for my money.
Summary: I tried many sets before this. I had the Infinity's TSS-800 and the TSS-1200 before I bought the Energy. And man, am I happy! These speakers sound great! The bass is deep and solid, no distortion at all. The highs sound crisp and clear and mids are rich. I'm currently using them with a Denon 1912 receiver. Couple of things you should know before you buy though: First, these speakers ship without speaker wire, so make sure you buy some and a sub cable as well.
Summary: This small system is attractive and well finished with the high gloss piano black treatment, and should blend in well in most homes. The system response is cohesive and without any glaring weakness, but really comes into its own with music. The sub performs very well for an 8" woofer, and in my room goes surprisingly deep to fill in the low end on tunes and movies.
Summary: I ordered the Energy 5.1 system to improve the sound of my 46" Plasma TV. The sound is excellent and you can actually hear the dialogue in movies without raising the volume between action scenes and dialogue. I'm very satisfied with the product.
Summary: These speakers sound amazing. The sub has plenty of power, Ive only got it turned up less than half way. The piano finish on teh speakers is great. Ive impressed many friends with look and sound. I havent mounted the speakers yet so Ill update after that. I bought them bc Cnet recommended them. If you buy these, you wont be dissapointed. Atleast, I wasnt!
Summary: I had to buy RCA connecting wires and wire to connect the speakers at a cost of $30+ to set the thing up. After set up, the bass worked poorly and the satalite speakers not at All. I returned it with no problem.
Summary: I bought these for our vacation home which has a small living room. My system at my regular home has Paradigm studio 60 mains with Pro Cinema surrounds, and Paradigm sub. The Energy speakers fill the room with beautiful sound and they aren't even broken in yet. I won't pretend they are as good as the Paradigms but the sound is incredible, excellent imaging, and if there's a "hole" I haven't heard it yet.
Summary: I'm by no means a sound expert. Though, I did quite a bit of research before getting these speakers. The build quality seems great. The finish is beautiful. The speakers are compact but really heavy. The sound is fantastic. I use it primarily for pandora streaming, and also watching netflix/dvd's. The sound is clear, bass is powerful. The dialogue from movies is easy to hear. 2 thumbs up!
