Summary: I bought one set for my home theater room (roughly 15' x 30') but decided to try it in my very large living room first. The living room is roughly 20' x 20', with an 18' peak ceiling, and is connected to a very open dining room and kitchen area - in short, a VERY large contiguous air space. I have to say I was nearly literally BLOWN AWAY by not only the overall sound, but the window-rattling bass produced by this "baby" 8" subwoofer in my gigantic living area.

Summary: I have been holding off writing my review as I wanted to break these in and get a feel for what I think. Installation: Took me a full day, and a few more days of tinkering with sound settings and placement in the living room. It was pretty easy, I bought the recommended banana plug adapters, made wiring a breeze, and I bought the 100ft 16g wire spool as well I recommend slightly longer spool of wire if you have a lot of distance to cover, I ran out thanks to one mistake...
Summary: In moving to our new house, I decided to finally replace a 12 year old set of Kenwood Home Theater in a Box speakers with something a bit more stylish and punchy sounding. The receiver was replaced years ago, but due to financial inertia I kept the old speakers around. My wife was wanting the home theater setup in the living room to look a lot cleaner than it did, so I started looking small. Surprisingly, this set of speakers came up aces in almost everyone's book.
Summary: This Energy 5.1 Take Classic passive speaker system is great for the money! It is passive because you need to have AV receiver to drive or power the speakers. Installation was simple. The five smaller but powerful 100 Watt speakers get connect with two conductor speaker wire. I used the AmazonBasic 16-gauge speaker wire to make all the connections from the speaker to receiver.
Summary: Bought these speakers a month back but was waiting for some good deals on receivers to hook these to. Just installed them and to start with the sound was not up to the mark (and was about to start the troubleshooting) but i recollected about the break-in periodic....started the music and left it on for more than 4 hours and trust me it sounds great, cant imagine how good them be once the 'break in' period is over.
Summary: The quality of these speakers floored me. I did a ton of research online to try to find some of the best values so I could get my home theater up and running cheaply. These got excellent reviews, so I took the plunge. I was immediately impressed by their appearance. They have a great looking piano black finish; they definitely don't look cheap.
Summary: Honestly, a truly great speaker system. Like others, I questioned if these were as good as advertised and I think they are even better. I replaced a bose satellite system with these and immediately noticed the difference, bang for the buck nothing can touch them. Buy with confidence...
