Summary: I used to own a Samsung HTIB that I thought had decent sound. Was I ever wrong. I never knew anything about DTS:HD-MA until I hooked these Take Classics to my Pioneer VSX-1020-K receiver. The first movie that I watched was 3:10 To Yuma which has an excellent soundtrack, and audio track.
Summary: Bought this based on the cnet review. Paired it with a Pioneer VSX-1122-K. The room is 25 x 18. The set showed up very tightly packaged. No chance it could get damaged. Each piece is quite elegant looking (more aggressive with fabric screen removed), however the shiny black surface shows every...
Great value great quality great speakers, part of my 7.1 home theater
18 March 2009
Summary: I purchased these based on reviews such as the one from CNET listed here and other reviews. I also purchased them because I trusted the Energy brand and from the materials to the cosmetics they seemed they would work well for my new home theater. This turned out to all be correct.
Summary: I'm a novice at putting together home theater systems because I've always owned Bose. You open the box and it's all there with Bose. What I wasn't ready for was all the extras I had to buy. For novices putting together their systems for the first time this is for you.
Summary: Well, I brought this set 1 month ago. Works very well. The speakers r small and unobtrusive. The sound from the drivers are excellent not tinny as u might expect. The speakers r made in china for anyone who thought they were made in canada. I guess ow they keep costs down.
Summary: That's the only way I can describe the experience of these high quality speakers. I had a menagerie of speakers attached to my Pioneer VSX-815 amp that I thought were just O.K. but cumbersome with no sub-woofer. The room is 9 X 12 and has a carpeted cement floor. The T.V. is a 55" smart LG LCD.
Summary: I love these speakers! I can not believe the incredible sound we get from these little Energys! I labored over reviews for a few weeks trying to decide on a really good set of speakers that wouldn't break the bank. These Energy 5.1 Take Classics fit the bill!
Summary: I wouldn't consider myself a true audiophile, but I am musically trained and I have a very good ear. Obviously I wanted a good sounding system, but unfortunately I am a college student with a very limited budget.
Summary: These are great speakers that sound terrific! I've these connected to a Denon 3808. I'm not an audiophile, so I can't spout stats to back up all my claims, but since sound is as much experience as statistics, here goes: The sats are really compact and look very sleek (polished/shiny black) and...
Summary: I tried many sets before this. I had the Infinity's TSS-800 and the TSS-1200 before I bought the Energy. And man, am I happy! These speakers sound great! The bass is deep and solid, no distortion at all. The highs sound crisp and clear and mids are rich.
