Summary: I was looking for a decent entry level speaker set. I wanted them small so I can wall mount them. After checking some speaker site, I came across these energy speakers. I never heard of this brand, so i was kind of hesitant at first. After some research, I decided to buy this set.
Summary: I looked at Axiom, B&W, Klipsch, & Definitive Technology speakers first and at the $200.00/per speaker price I couldn't quite afford that. Although these can't produce the sound of the afore mentioned they do an exceptional job, and their price is just what I was looking for.
Summary: The positive reviews of this package are right on target. These speakers are nice when they work. However, I had very bad experiences with them. If only one or two speakers of the five broke, I would give it a 3 or 4 star rating. However, I had to send each and every one of them to service.
Summary: I've owned a number of Energy speakers over the last 10 years. I decided to go with the Take Classic due to now having samll kids and the big heavy bookshelf speakers I previously had were just to heavy and dangerous. Anyways, I went with the 5.0 as I already had a sub.
Summary: I was throughly impressed by the quality of these small speakers. They are great in fit, finish, and function. They look great and sound even better. They blew my 1 year old pioneer satellites out of the water in their sound reproduction.
Summary: Very pleased with this set of surround speakers. Pleasant bright sound with good musical presence. They sounded a bit weak to start, but after several hours of playing they came in to their own. very good low cost system. P.S. added the Energy 8" sub woofer for smashing movie effects.
Summary: Have a wonderful Polk Audio RT 5000 system that sadly I have to sell. I knew finding a replacement speaker system was going to be tough. I looked at many system and in the end I needed a small compact speaker system. I read all the good reviews on this and others sites.
Summary: Picked these up from Amazon last week to replace my Polk RM705 (Polk sounded ok but has a weak sub). These speakers sound awesome, sub rocks the entire room. Room is 20x20 and is hooked to a Denon AVR-789, Samsung LNA52 120Mhz 52" using a PS3 for blu-ray. Best spks under $1000 by far.
Summary: i was unsure of what to speakers to buy as i already had a new Onkyo receiever. i wanted a set that was of good quality but not too expensive. i had never heard of the Energy line before but saw good reviews. I am very pleased with my purchase as it has great sound and the Sub will shake your house!
