As good as advertised.

Gregory Murray "Alaskacat", Amazon

  • Summary: Packaged beautifully and did not charge extra for delivery to Alaska unlike so many other compannies. Best part was everything worked! These are my very first home theater speakers and were purchased due to the positive responses of other reviewers. These speakers did not disappoint. Music played through them sound awesome with very nice sounding bass. (Wife approves of the looks, size and sound.) It certainly adds to the movie viewing experience as well.

  • Summary: Awesome speakers....Did a lot of research on satellite speakers to buy as space was a big consideration.Ended up on buying this after reading 5 star reviews everywhere. Not dissapointed at all.Lives to its billing. Paired it with a boston subwoofer and the highs and lows and everything in between sound great. Use it with a Onkyo SR-507 reciever all in all very happy with the speakers.Grab them before they are sold out.

Shocked by these little speakers

Amazon Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: I first saw these speakers in an online review -- something about "best 5.1 speakers under $200." Of course, I was skeptical, but I was in the middle of renovating my theater room, and I was originally looking at making shelves into the wall for my old Onkyo 5.1 that had been sitting on the floor. The front L/R speakers each weigh about 20lbs. When I saw the stellar reviews for these lightweight speakers, I just figured I'd replace my Onkyo set, and retain the subwoofer.

Good product, not as sensitive as my Polk Audio RM6900

G. Wu, Amazon

  • Summary: The speaker looks and sounds great. However, they are not as sensitive as my Polk Audio RM6900 satelite speakers. I used Pioneer Elite receiver to automatically calibrate the speaker volume. When I substitute the Energy speaker with a Polk Audio RM6900 satellite speaker at the same position, the Elite receiver decided that the volume with the Polk speaker must decrease by 3 BD to match with other Energy speaker.

At $200 these are a steal!!!

  • Summary: Let me start off by saying these speakers are a great addition to any home theater, especially given their price point. I think you would have a hard time finding better sounding speakers for this price! I replaced my Samsung 32" LCD and Sony Home Theater in a box with a Panasonic TC P50V10 - 50" plasma TV - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - HDTV (which is amazing), to this I added an Onkyo TX-SR507 5.1-Channel A/V Surround Home Theater Receiver (Black) , Energy Take Classic...

Fantastic sound for the price

  • Summary: I just bought this speaker system after reading the reviews on here, and wow, what great sound. I am running them off of my new Sony receiver, and the sound through my Sony Blu Ray player with True HD is amazing. I threw in 300 on Blu Ray and couldn't stop smiling as the sound was so crisp and clear all the way around my living room. I haven't even mounted my back speakers yet and calibrated for distance, and I was still very happy with the sound quality.

Excellent purchase at this point!

  • Summary: Have only had the speakers for a couple weeks now so am technically still in the break-in period but with my past experience sound quality usually does not change drastically post break-in. Got these on sale and absolutely love the decision to purchase. Not sure if there are another set out there in this price range that has received as many good reviews (note: there are more reviews on the Energy Take Classic 5.1 which include the subwoofer but for some reason was...

Outstanding

John M. Twitchell, Amazon

  • Summary: These speakers are quality. They look great and they deliver splendid sound. I have yet to test them out at really loud levels because Energy recommends a 50 hour break in period before cranking up the volume. But at normal volume levels the sound is exceptionally clear and crisp. I'm especially impressed with movies. I'm hearing things that I never knew existed in my DVD movies.

Love Thm

William Z "William", Amazon

  • Summary: I was lucky enough to buy the Energy Take Classic 5.1 (Same speakers as these but w a subwoofer included) at a great price during Circuit City's going out of business clearance. Now I understand why[...] gave the Classic 5.1 a top rating & rave review. Hooked up w Pioneer's latest 1019AH A/V receiver & I get the clarity of far more expensive speakers. I couldn't be happier.
