Summary: Very nice sound for a basement price, when compared to well known brands. Closest negative aspect is that it would be nicer to have a little higher power speakers, but that's asking too much for the value of this system.
Summary: I have never written a review on a product before, but after almost 2 years of owning this package, i had to come back and comment. I am in love with this system. I paired this with a Yamaha HTR - 6063 receiver, and a pair of Cerwin Vega tower speakers (next to upgrade one day) and this system pounds. Extremely clear at reference level, no distortion whatsoever, I wished the subwoofer was a little bigger, but it does the trick more than adequately.
Summary: Read some reviews on the system in advance and for the money, people raved on the sound quality. So, for my small condo, figured this would be a great little system (and it looked good too). As with most of these systems, upgraded the speaker wire before hooking up because the cheap string-like speaker wire they provide with the system is just not acceptable. Sound quality for my 10 x 14 condo living room is great....when everything works!
Summary: I have had these speakers for 5 years now, and still, they sound amazing. Very clear, accurate and crisp sound. if you have a small room, get ready to be blown away. The sub woofer is great, can;t go past 5 on them, too loud, and subwoofer begins to distort after 7, depending on level of bass. It says a lot when even after 5 years the price of these speakers have not gone down.
Summary: These speakers were better than I expected. I replaced a set of bose speakers and could not be happier. The sound is crisp, more depth...and the price was $250 less than what I could have paid at a retail outlet. I was amazed at the quick delivery, they arrived by courier the next day. For the price and quality you can't go wrong.
Summary: This review should be 5 stars, but no product is perfect, so I'm just going to pick one small nit. Energy doesn't sell the Take classic satellites individually, so you're out of luck if you want to make a 7.1 set. Other than that, perfect. The sub and satellites integrate perfectly, sound is clear, controlled and accurate in both movies and music. It gets a little thin when playing just 2.1, but that's to be expected with small speakers.
Summary: I purchased these this system for use in my main living room so size and inconspiciousness was important for me. After reading a positive review from the $100 a foot speaker wire crowd I decided to purchase. The sound is excellant for both movies and music. Very spacious, smooth and accurate. I have mine hooked up to a Denon 1712 Reciever and it is a perfect match. I was also surprised to learn that Energy is a Klipsch Group company.Very satsified and highly reccomended.
Summary: First off, get yourself a great Reciever ... your speakers are only as good as the speaker. With a nice reciever, the Take 2 is simply put the best mid range speaker on the market. In fact even compared to many speakers twice the price range, the energy speakers are far superior. The sound quality if very clean, little distortion, and for those complaining about some things, they probabely don't have the right set up.
Summary: These speakers sound very clean and can play very loud with no distortion. The only improvement can be with the sub. The sub sounds good, but can't seem to keep up with the other speakers, but after all its only an 8" driver. All in all a very good sounding system. Probably the best sounding system in its price range.
