Summary: For the price these are pretty good. They definitely sound great. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I feel like they could sound maybe a little bit more robust. However, for their size this is probably as good as it gets. If you want a bigger sound you probably need to get big, expensive floor speakers.
Summary: I purchased these speakers from amazon and I waited until the speakers passed their "breaking-in"period to post a review. And I have to say these are by far worth every single $ spend. You can't find better sounding speakers without breaking the bank.
Summary: I've had these speakers connected to my Sony STR-DH540 receiever for about a month now, and no complaints so far.The hype surrounding these speakers was well-deserved. Highs are crisp and clear, overall sound is well-balanced and suits the room well (about 14x18 feet). The sub packs a lot of bass that is delivered without distortion at any level, and the piano gloss black finish looks great.
Summary: I bought these speakers and a Marantz 1403. Together these represent the best looking and sounding $650 system ever for the price. You cannot do any better if spending even $1000. Unless you require McIntosh amps and Cessaro Horns to feel acoutically content - please do yourself a favor and buy the RC-Micro 5.1.
Summary: These speakers are amazing from the sound to the finish to the price. They are very stylish with the ebony, piano finish. They match my TV and living room perfectly. The sound is very full for such a small speaker. The subwoofer won't rock the house but performs well in my room. I have the crossover set to 150 Hz. To mount these with my mounts, I needed to go down to the hardware store and get some socket cap bolts 1/4 - 20 thread.
Summary: I bought these Energy RC-Micro 5.1 speakers from Amazon and they are great. Be aware of the mounting brackets recommended by Amazon: "VideoSecu 5 Black Deluxe Speaker Mount Brackets for Walls and Ceilings 1XZ". They work, but you need to get 5 socket hd cap screw 1/4-20 x 1-1/2. I spent $10 in Lowes on these 6 screws (they are sold in pairs). So, consider the extra time and money if you plan to use these mount brackets on Energy speakers.
