bright beautiful sound with more than adequate bass
15 September 2014
Summary: The setup: Apple Airport Express --> Topping class T amp --> Energy EAS-8C I have these installed in my kitchen/dining room, which has a high ceiling and quite a bit of space to cover. I'm using them for music listening in stereo, not movie/surround sound. Volume - not a problem. I was worried that pairing 8 inch speakers with a low watt, digital amp would make them struggle. Not one bit. It's loud enough for my neighbors to hear without distortion.
Summary: I'm using these for a whole house audio install. I replaced a pair of HTD 6.5" speakers in my ceiling with these. Within 3 seconds of the first song, I knew I made the right choice. These have such a nice sound. Crisp and clear, but also warm. I admit I was skeptical given the low price I paid, but I'm beyond happy. I was so impressed, I ordered a second pair for my bedroom.
Installed as rear speakers for 5.1 surround system in a drop ceiling

Summary: I installed these in my basement for a 5.1 system as the rears. I placed them roughly 4 feet behind from the seating area and was able to adjust the tweeters to point them towards the seating area. After further research I took advice not to place them directly on top of the listener which I'm glad I did. They produce clear sound and I have no complaints for the job they perform.
Summary: I purchased these speakers to replace my NHT in ceiling speakers after reading the reviews. They match extremely well with my Speaker Craft front speakers. Great sound quality for music and home theater. Excellent pair of speakers.
Summary: I was fortunate to find these speakers for about $63 for the pair. I installed them myself in a soffit that holds several other recessed lighting next to my kitchen. They sound FANTASTIC. They have impressive bass, and mids for a speaker of this size. Dont think twice, just order them you wont be disappointed.
Summary: These speakers really surprised me. I bought them during a sale as an early Christmas present for my parents. They recently re-did their living/dining room and were hesitant to put the Aiwa mini system that was there previously back into the room afterward. They felt it would detract too much from the fresh new look of the room, as it used to live under one of the end tables on the floor. 'nuff said!
