Summary: When our Bose 3-2-1 system went south, we decided to put together a new system. Our sound installation expert suggested Energy speakers, so we listened to him, read a lot, and even called Energy Customer Service and spoke to a helpful staff member. We had just purchased a Yamaha Natural Sound AV Receiver RX 575 to power the system.
Summary: I just picked up a set of these on ebay to use as surrounds to match my CF70 towers and CC10 center. I hooked them up to my desktop PC and receiver to make sure they work before I put them into the home theater and now I dont want to take them off of the computer! I love these little guys. Great bass from such a small package and nice clarity.
Summary: Just WOW!! Low cost goosebump inducing rear surround speakers for me. I'd take these over a $1G bose surround in a heartbeat!! Close to the same size as a bose double cube with a wider range of sound. Bought mine used so they're already broke in in mint shape. Hooked them up to my Denon avr987, lit em up and fell in love.
Summary: It is OK for the price. If you are serious about audio, I think you do need to spend a little more to get what you want. I used to have a pair of Cambridge Audio S30 speakers which are much better--cleaner sound, more controlled base.
