Summary: These are not for people who want to listen to music on their computer. The 3.5mm jack allows for use of a headset however. They are fairly loud and have crisp sound. Also, they have a nice design and are very compact, ideal for an office setting. These do nicely for a work office or other similar environment. I would recommend these to a friend.
Summary: Nice and small speakers, and I paid only $14.99 for them. The sound is fine for the jazz music I listen to on the internet for long periods of time. Sounds good at low to low-medium volume, perfect for an apartment where you don't want to disturb the neighbors. They're a little harsh at medium or higher volume so it would get tiresome to listen that loud. Fine for movies too because the voice is clear and the overall sound is clear.
Summary: thses speakers were bought to replace another set that went out. i am really pleased. i have asmall desk and they fit perfectly. the sound is great. i would recommend them to anyone in need of space and volume.
Summary: A More Than Adequate Set of Speakers People who can't afford (or don't need) Cadillacs buy Chevvies. And the Chevvies work out perfectly fine for their needs. Same situation here. An audiophile would sneer at these little Edifier speakers, probably pointing out the inadequacies of perfectly replicating the “necessary” highs and lows, and the lack of proper “tweeters” and “woofers”, etc.
Summary: Although the sound quality is a little lacking, it is by no means awful. This is really good for setups where power efficiency is an issue. It would only be better (beyond sound quality) if it accept sound input through the USB as well.
