The sound quality isn't the best, but for the price it's acceptable

Summary: I bought these for on my desk at work. The sound quality isn't the best, but for the price it's acceptable. They sound a bit "tinny" and hollow. They serve their purpose though and help me get through the work day listening to the radio at work. I like that it has the 3.5mm jack on the front of them, so that way I can plug in my headphones easily when other people come into the office and don't want to hear my music! Overall, this is a great set of $10 speakers.
Summary: The sound quality is good and the power is surprisingly strong. Expected it to be a USB or double-USB connector but it is actually an audio jack + USB for power which improved the quality and strength of sound. Highly recommended. Great bang for the buck!
Not really worth the $8 I paid for them, but work more or less.

Summary: Wires are way too short to use on a desk when the tower is located on the floor beside the desk. Speakers themselves interfere with each other unless you have something large and electronic or conductive between them (my heavy duty 15 hole hole punch, a 16 inch monitor, Etc. Cheap and more or less work but still... actual electronic interference between the speakers. Should have bought the $12 speakers instead of the $8 ones... cheap is foolish still.
Summary: I must have got a lemon. One speaker quit working within a few weeks of getting them; then to add insult to injury, the one that doesn't work (the one with the power and volume controls) started crackling loudly even when nothing is playing. I will try something a little more expensive next time.
Summary: When you plugin headphones you can't control the volume which is very odd and seems like a huge oversight. The speakers are cheap and do not sound that great, I'm replacing some equally cheap speakers and these sound a lot worse and have no volume control on the headphone output. Totally acceptable for listening to podcasts if you never use the headphone jack.
