It has a resonance frequency of 54 Hz and a crossover frequency of 1300 Hz. The 110 A has a maximum power consumption of 90 W (10 W on idle), measures 173 x 305 x 322 mm and weighs 8.5 kg.

Features

The Focus 110 A features music reproduction via an array of connectivity to a portable media player, to a volume-controllable CD-Player (or DVD/Blu-ray player), or any audio source (i.e. a DAC or digital radio and satellite receivers), integrated as part of multi-room or streaming-network system, connected to a media PC, or as a high end stereo extension of a flat screen monitor equipped with audio-outs. It is also compatible with traditional Hi-Fi systems via a direct connection to a pre-amp or integrated amplifier. A music server system can be built by connecting the 110 A to a system comprising the Wadia iPod™ transport, an iPod™, or media-server bridge devices (such as Sonos, Roku, Squeezebox, etc.). The 110 A can be utilized in a multi-channel system, with a surround sound processor or with the processor of a home theater receiver featuring pre-outs. The coated soft dome tweeter and the MSP (magnesium silicate polymer) mid/bass driver with its diaphragm come together with dual-amplifier technology to form the “active” loudspeaker. The Focus drive units are tailored to match the internal amplifiers, just as the amplifiers have been to match the drivers. This helps the unit optimize the interface between the amplifier and loudspeaker driver through a more compact design. The amplification of the Focus 110 A utilizes a bi-amp design - one 50 Watt amplifier powers the mid/bass driver and a second 50 Watt amplifier powers the tweeter in each speaker, which equates to 200 Watts of amplifier power. The Focus 110 A is available in Maple, Cherry, Rosewood and Black Ash. The Focus series features real wood finishes, the 110 A model will be available in high-quality black and white gloss lacquers beginning May, 2009.
