Excellent Speakers

emnic, Amazon
18 July 2013
  • Summary: I installed 4 of these for a 7.1 surround system and could not be happier. I use other Definitive Technology speakers for center, left and right. These bi-polars have the full range pointing in two angles to give a full 180 degree sound. In doing so they cover all the space and other anomalies of the room. They sound better than significantly more expensive speakers and are very well made. Every detail is well designed, solid and high quality.

In a word: Amazing! Read on for more detail . . .

Timmothy R. Ideker, Amazon
10 July 2013
  • Summary: First, let me give you the one word review: Amazing! Now for the longer version . . . I read a ton of reviews and visited a local home electronics store, but I never actually heard the Definitive Technology speakers until I heard them installed in my house. I saw that the number of Definitive Technology speaker reviews was low, but that the reviews were universally excellent.

Amazing speakers as front LCR.

E. Valiente "tekJUNKIE", Amazon
15 June 2013
  • Summary: They are definitely high-end speakers. Solidly built, amazing sound. The illusion that the sound is coming from the front instead of above is uncanny! I have to take away a star because the supplied screws are too weak to be traverse framing. Two screws broke while during installation. Had to buy shorter, tougher screws to complete install. Manual is also written as if professionals would always be installing these.

Speakers are great surrounds to finish a 5.1 or 7.1 system.

Hunter Hodges, Amazon
23 May 2013
  • Summary: Speakers are great surrounds to finish a 5.1 or 7.1 system without taking up a lot of room. They look and sound great. They are completely enclosed so they sound similar to a free standing speaker. I installed these in a high ceiling for 7.1. They do not sit completely flush (bow out about 1/2"), but the picture does depict this. Note: The plastic clips will not support the weight of the speaker for an in ceiling installation.
