One of the Best Surround Speakers you can buy!

Summary: Simply put, I love these surround speakers! One of the best you can buy in their price range, even besting some costing much more. I have a older Denon 7 channel (AVR-3805) and it sounds awesome with the Def' Techs on the side. They have a very enveloping sound quality, perfect for side surround speakers. I went with the 8080 instead of the 8040s, but I may pick those up to replace my rears (currently Bose 301s).
Summary: I have 2 pairs of Def Tech BP-8080SR. These speakers are amazing, they do what every bipolar surround sound speaker should do, they "disappear" making them impossible to pin point their location. Definitive Technology has received excellent reviews on their Bipolar Series speakers, what makes them so special is their natural but powerful sound. Yes these babies are small but they do play loud and clean.
Summary: i am using these as rear surround sound speakers along with mythos 10 center channel and mythos sts front speakers with a Denon AVR 3313ci receiver and the sound is phenomenal. I would highly recommend these for the addition to any surround sound system or even stand alone speakers.
Summary: The Definitive Technology SR-8080BP's sounded awesome right out the box.I upgraded from the SR8040BP's and Wow. The bass was more defined & the rear sound stage opened up.I really dig the Bipolar design. I'm a big Definitive Technology fan. Their customer service is the bomb. When setting up my theater room I had some technical questions and they were more than willing to help. If you want superb sound coming from the rear I strongly recommend the SR-8080Bp's.
Pros: Built Like A Tank, Easy To Assemble, High End Quality, Sleek Design
Summary: I replaced older towers used as surrounds with these bipolar surrounds. The soundstage and tonal matching are much better now. These speakers sound wonderful with movies, multi-channel SACD's and DVD-Audio and music in general. They are also small enough to not overpower the room any more than I already have with towers up front.
Summary: I've long been a fan of Definitive Technology speakers as they offer a great balance of performance verses cost. The SR-8080BP's are no exception. The 8080BP build quality is excellent with the polished end caps and center lending a touch of refinement to the overall appearance. They looked stunning, but would they perform?
