Summary: So I recently decided that I would upgrade my home theater system and replace all of my equipment with more high end equipment. The system I had included a Yamaha RX-V667 7.2 channel receiver and a set of the Bose Acoustimass 10 speakers. Both of these served my needs very well for a few years, but I decided to sell this equipment, make over my TV room into a media room and replace all of the equipment with new equipment.
Amazing speaker that delivers on both sound and looks

Summary: I am a fan of Definitive Technology speakers having owned them in the past. Recently I was looking to replace some large floor standing speakers with something that both sounded better and would look better in my living room. Much to my delight I discovered that Definitive Technology made these speakers in white. I am running a Denon receiver and feeding it all my TV/Blu-Ray/Video Game sound as well as running a turntable through it.
Summary: I have the ProMonitor 800's as well and were using those for my fronts in my 5.1 surround. I also have a DT ProCenter 1000 and DT 600's for rears. I decided to upgrade fronts to these and move the 800's to rear surround after two years now. I listen to a lot of music as well and thought the 1000's would enhance the mid-range. Couldn't be happier. For the price and size these are just amazing speakers.
Summary: The ProMonitor 1000 sounds great. I was positively surprised. Full, deep, sound with rich lows and bright highs (2-ch, music through Pandora). They are a bit bigger than what I had expected, and they are quite heavy. The white finish is more of a bone, almost almond, hue than cool white. I have these paired with a DT ProCenter 2000 through a Denon AVR-X amp. I have yet to connect the DT ProSub, but I'm pretty happy even as it is, playing music.
Summary: It was hard to find surround sound speakers for the back of the room that sounded good while at the same time were small and blended in (white speakers). These fit the bill and sound amazing! Great speakers, highly recommended! I was going to go with the 800's but the 1000 series has a better, more rich sound.
