Summary: I suppose you get what you pay for...the voice discrimination on this unit is pretty poor. The surround sound not surprisingly is nonexistent. Mostly I just hear a lot of relatively muffled sounds. I'd care less if the unit cost $250 or so, but it cost just enough for me to be annoyed about it.
Summary: We purchased this sound bar because the reviews seemed to indicate it produced sound quality close to that of true surround sound for those who didn't have the room for (or want to deal with) installing multiple speakers. This unit was being paired with a LG Plasma TV, which comes equipped with optional audio settings, one of which is "cinema" for movies. As good as this mode is, there are times dialog isn't audible.
Pros: Sleek design.
Cons: Sound wasn't better than that coming from our TV.
Summary: I have a small space and wanted to avoid wires with my usual home theatre set up.i spoke with the rep at Crutchfield and he recommended this for amazing sound and convenience. The surround sound , even with the additional subwoofer I bought, not realistic at all. The bar is VERY heavy and hard to hang. I'm really dissappointed with the quality for the expense.
Pros: Not really any
Cons: Poor surround sound quality even in a small room; bar very heavy and anchors for wall not included.
