Summary: Great speakers once properly placed and balanced. Remember to get a set of these means that you buy one that says "right speaker" and the other should say "left speaker". Don't buy 2 of the same speaker (2 right or 2 left speakers). Your subs should be on opposite sides of each other, either both subs pointing in towards eachother or both pointing outwards away from eachother. Not both subs on the same side of the speaker.
Summary: I have been wanting these speakers for a long time but was holding out for the top of the line BP 7000's which cost over $5,000. Got tired of waiting to come up with the money, so when these speakers went on sale for $329 per speaker, (brand new) I jumped! These replaced my trusty Bose 901 speakers that had served me well for over 20 years (and still going strong) but were somewhat lacking in the new digital age.
Summary: These speakers are awesome, I demo'd quite a few speakers, I even bought some aperion grand towers. One of the aperion grand speakers blew or was defective, thank goodness, these defintive technology speakers blew the aperion a away, and not by a little bit, they just crushed them,, best speaker I have ever heard..l!
Buy these speakers and welcome to the awesome club. If not, then for shame!

Summary: On initial hook up, these get 4 of 5 stars. That is solely due to the break in these need. All speakers have a break in period. With these and other Def Tech's it's much more obvious. Brand new, many models of Def Tech speakers have a very flat sounding midrange and the bass can be quite stiff. I also own 4 Def Tech StudioMonitor 350's. They also needed a good deal of breaking in. With the BP-7006's it's just much more so.
Summary: They look great and sound great they got plenty of base the supplier was top-notch I just wish they put out a little bit more sound but that might be due to my head unit or I noticed the mids are only 4 1/2 inches that's kind of small. Overall high-quality Bass and treble , and looks Excellent, Little less midrange than I prefer.
Big sound from a small footprint. Get them while you can.

Summary: I purchased these speakers as the main front drivers for my 5.1 system. The built in subwoofers allow me to have full sound without needing an additional speaker. Although these speakers utilize only one active 8 inch woofer in each speaker, the bass is excellent. LFE inputs and volume controls make adjusting the bass level an ease. Dual passive radiators allow for higher efficiency with a frequency respone all the way down to 17hz.
Summary: I don't know if there are other differences, but the obvious difference between the left and right speaker is which side the subwoofer is mounted on. The tweeters do seem to be offset slightly.
Summary: For its price they are excellent. I have to confess my Polks RTiA7 sounds bit better; but the integrated subwoofer helps a lot and compensate if I compare it with my Polks. They are in break in and I can noticed after a week it sounds better. Give it the 40-60 hours recommended for break in. Even that no separate subwoofer is needed; but I recommend it. Sub does not digs deeeep as a 12" or 15" sub; but works pretty well for almost any situation.
