Never looked back.

  • Summary: Love them. I have a Definitive Center and Yamaha rears and they never fail to amaze. I had friends in shortly after I bought them. "What are those speakers," one asked. "They aren't for the common man." They aren't ;-) .

  • Summary: I auditioned many speakers. I easily eliminated many from consideration, knowing for many years, Folks want them merely due to extensive marketing. Listening to friends with those 'designer' speakers...invariably my question to them is are you deaf? I also listened to the competition in several outlets hooked up to different sources and equipment - sorry they do NOT sound right. I knew I was correct in my decision to AVOID those popular speakers..

BP-7002 definitive technology

Rob, Amazon
19 November 2010
  • Summary: I purchased 2 definitive technology BP-7002 to almost finish my speaker needs. I have been watching these speakers and the BP-7004. How glad am I for getting the 7002's. Dollar for dollar I beleive these speakers can run with many of the more expensive more exclusive brands. It reached a point where my wallet was only so deep and I could not hear the difference in some other speakers. I saw them priced real nice by Listen Up Inc.

  • Summary: Now is a great time to look for the 7002s as Definitive Technology has added a new line and Best Buy is discounting, plus up to 3 years financing at no interest. This began when a dear friend rewarded me with the gift of a Def Tec center CDC 2500 for setting up her system. (Yeah, I'm a lucky guy.) I paired that with my Mirage 7.1 surround system and Denon 2307CI. Sound was vastly improved by the new center. I then found a pair of Demo Gem 6s and stands at 1/2 price.

  • Summary: Even my friend Chris, owner of Glanzer Pro Audio gives these speakers the thumbs up. Even though he isn't a fan of bi-polar speakers in general.
  • Pros: Amazingly accurate sound House shaking bass No additional subwoofer needed
  • Cons: Require an electrical outlet for each speaker Made me an audio snob Fairly large

Warranty Service

John, Amazon
25 February 2009
  • Summary: Just hope you don't have a problem with a speaker. I have had mine 90 days and one of the sub woofers went bad. Definitive Tech refused to perform warranty service. They said if I knew what parts were bad they would ship them to me and I could replace them myself, otherwise I would have to contact Amazon if I wanted warranty service. Amazon came back with "I am past the 30day return policy" so to bad.
