Summary: I've had these for about a month and a half now. They sound and look great. I bought them to replace my bulky M&K speakers that were distracting while watching movies. I use them primarily for home theater. A key selling point (mainly for my wife) is that they would replace my giant sub-woofer.
Summary: I replaced my Polk Audio 10's with these speakers. The sound is crystal clear with no distortion. The Polk 10's did seem to have more bass, not sub bass. My wife & I like the modern design & they fit better in our living room.
Pros: Design & crystal clear sound, each instrument can be heard.
Summary: I have owned Def Tech Speakers for some time now. Have always wanted their power towers. Got these at a great price and have loved every minute that I have been listening to them. Just follow the instructions that came with the speakers for hookup and placement and you are good to go.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Installing the stabilizer feet takes a bit of time
Summary: My original plan was to get rid of my 12 inch polk sub after getting these. Though I think I am going to keep it now, just to keep the earth shaking bass. Most people probably will not need a sub with these, but since I already have one, and selling it will get me half what I paid...
Pros: Compact, amazing sound, great bass.
Cons: Kinda hard to explain, but bass sounds great, but doesnt "feel" great. Kindof a hollow bass. Most people probably wouldn't notice though. Included screws for mounting the feet are garbage. DO NOT EVEN TRY TO USE THEM. Trust me.
Summary: I have the speakers as my rears in a surround setup, the 8060s are my main fronts. They sound amazing for there size and in reference to a couple other reviews it does not matter what side the subwoofer is on, they are non directional and they are not flawed with the built in subs they sound awsome...
