Nice sound, good quality
1 August 2015
Summary: Love the sound quality on these speakers, nice housing and hardware, very easy to adjust and install. Bass while very good not what I expected after reading other reviews but not shabby, overall they sound fantastic.
Pros: Nice clean sound, very spacious, no distortion with quality amp. Nice hardware, easy to mount and adjust.
Cons: Rather large, bass less than expected but without a sub to be expected. Price is up there but you get what you pay for.
Summary: I purchased four AW6500's to replace my aging Infinity Outrigger (large ones) speakers on my deck. As the Infinity's were still kicking after 10 years, they were getting a bit tired from being exposed to the elements 365 days a year (snow, rain, etc.).
Pros: Sound fantastic at loud volumes.
Lack of bass response at low volumes.
Summary: These speakers do not sound too bad. They have great highs and mids. They are very efficient so a smaller amp. will make them sound good, unlike what the sales adviser told me. (ie 50W x 50W or higher) They have pretty good bass, however push the bass hard and you will get pops, like the cone...
Sound great, but the enclosure and bracket are eh...

Summary: I bought these based on the many sales and good reviews that I had read about them. I'm doing an outdoor-backyard theater for an area that's about 25' x 25'. When I first pulled the speakers out of the box, I was a little skeptical.
Pros: Good clean sound
Cons: Cheap enclosure/bracket. Sweet spot listening to music.
Summary: Sound great, mounts easy, adjusts nicely. These fit great underneath the eave of my house on my patio. I was very pleased with the sound dispersion for our outdoor area. Even at low volumes the low end comes through.
Summary: These are great speakers! Installed them around a swing pool deck and when I really put the power to them they respond with excellent sound and good full range for out door speakers. I would suspect that the base response would be even better if I hand them mounted against a wall or under a soffit.
Pros: Easy to use mounting brackets and solid sound performance across the board.
Cons: To really get them to fill out they do need a good bit of power. You are going to need a solid strong amp pushing these speakers if you are going to get the most out of them.
Summary: I'm not as happy with the sound as a lot of others. I was used to Boston Voyager sound (similar price range) and these sounded boxy when compared to them. I was able to do a direct side by side comparison and they had a clearer sound with good tight bass where these sound almost muffled and boxy.
