Summary: Fairly expensive outdoor speaker. Sound is good not super, the trick to get decent bass is to place them close to a wall so the rear bass reflex membrane could do its job. You may have to experiment several location and placement distance to get them to perform as intended. Bass reflex is an old idea in speaker design. You trick the baffle (enclosure) with an extra passive speaker membrane to try to boost the bass performance. Sometimes it works sometimes not.
Summary: Make sure you mount them higher up (horizontally) under the eaves. They use the the eave of your house for extra bass. Ironic since they picture them horizontally. I wanted to originally position them angled at different directions but it didn't work out that way. The sound is fantastic for an outdoor speaker though so I am not complaining.
Summary: After a lot of research I have found that this speaker is the best value and sound. The sound is amazing and it's the only outdoor speaker that I have found that you can actually hear bass! . My opinion is that this blows Bose away. The only issue is that with a wall mounted speaker it's direct sound..not 360. Next year I am going to add another one.
