Sounds Great, Especially For The Price

hwoodlive, Ebay
9 February 2015
  • Summary: Our last Coby 3D soundbar got cooked in a power surge, so I'd kept my eyes out for a replacement. For a low-buck device from a typically low-buck manufacturer, these things sound great.

Totally obsolete

Ron H., Newegg
1 August 2014
  • Summary: The "Coby" name seems to be floating around from distribuitor to distribuitor, each terminating support from ant previous sources. AVOID COBY !
  • Pros: Worked well for an inexpensive sound bar.
  • Cons: The "Coby" that was marketing this item totally went away. The "new" Coby has NO support for anything past. NO REPLACEMENT REMOTES AVAILABLE ANYWHERE! The remote, that never worked well, now does not work more than 4' from the device.

GET IT! It's the best bargain I've found in electronics.

olesya1989, Ebay
10 January 2013
  • Summary: Excellent bargain! This product's quality equals that of far more expensive sound bars. A friend has a sound bar that cost $300 and the sound is pretty much the same on both. Truly is wonderful for TV and music. I hook up my phone to it and it's better than any set of speakers I ever owned.

  • Summary: I have a 52" flat screen with pretty good sound. This sound bar actually makes movies and tv shows pop out. Reasonably priced and easy setup.

I am not thrilled

bestalj, Ebay
7 December 2012
  • Summary: I am not thrilled with this ! The remote is sluggish and difficult to use inasmuch as you can not tell what the volumn sounds like until you release the control button. I was hoping for a crisper sound than what my HDTV produces but this is not much better.

Works for me

Donna S., Newegg
23 September 2012
  • Summary: I picked this because of it's smaller width to accommodate my TV stand and thought with it being heavier (much like an old VCR), it helps anchor down my stand which is in a traffic pattern.
  • Pros: I'm no audio expert, but for the untrained/uneducated ear, this works great with my Westinghouse 39" LED tv in my modest sized family room.
  • Cons: Not sure if it's a con yet but right now, I'm using the Coby remote to control the volume as I haven't figured out how/if the Coby remote can be programmed to the Time Warner remote. The Coby remote isn't "instant" (like the TW remote) when it comes to lower/raising the volume. A little annoying ...
