Summary: I have these hooked up to an AudioSource amp that turns on when I use Airplay on my iphone and select my upstairs router. The sound is terribly muddy and distorted. I used to own two big Cerwin Vega speakers in the 80s. Those sounded great. This speaker set goes to show how far Cerwin has fallen.
Summary: Blew out the woofers in two weeks. Not the Cerwin Vega that I used to know. I have a 80 watt Denon receiver and these speakers are rated 125 watts. Yes I play them loud like the maker tells you to. Had to ship them to an authorized repair shop and was told I am responsible for shipping both ways, not like stated by Cerwin Vega. I should be responsible for one way shipping.
Summary: These have no high end. I did an A/B comparison with some "rock" speakers (OSD Audio RX805) that I purchased around the same time and these sound awful in comparison. No high frequency response no matter how I configure my amp. Songs are unrecognizable due to the missing content. I'll be replacing with another brand and selling these at my next garage sale.
Summary: I love CV floor speakers however I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in these bookshelf speakers. I returned them less than a week after purchase. Let me start off by saying that these speakers were hooked up to a brand new Denon receiver pushing 110 watts per channel. I am looking for speakers to replace by Bose 301's (current series, IV I think) and these are definitely not it.
