Summary: This speaker has big speaker sound in a bookshelf package. The bass is adequate, but the strength of the speakers is it's ability to give midrange and treble as a big speaker would. Would recommend for those not looking to spend a bundle and still get great overall sound.
Summary: These speakers are just great!!! Sound quality, design, size. Serwin Vegas have been my speakers for the pas 13 years. I had an old pair AT-8, and one of them had foam ripped. But still sound quality is the same. I got lazy to re build the foam, and got CLS-6. Oh my and don't regret for a minute.
Summary: I didn't noticed the pair of Boston Acoustics bookshelf speakers which were priced less than this single bookshelf speaker. Hence, the 3 star rating. Otherwise, I think both brands deliver good sound.
Summary: I am very, very happy with the Cerwin Vega CLS-6 speakers I recently got. I still had the big old speakers from 20+ years ago but wanted something smaller. I read many reviews on the 'net for different brands of bookshelf size speakers and based on the reviews, decided on these.
Summary: Sure, there are better speakers, but for the price, you can't do better. Cerwin Vega makes excellent equipment. If you are putting these in a mid-size room, don't worry about power, they produce a great sound. Their heavy cabinets give a big, warm sound.
Summary: I studied bookshelf speakers sometime before purchasing two of these. They are well built with no junky plastic cases. The sound is outstanding and I am well pleased with the sound performance. You can crank up the amplifier and the speakers do not distort or get saturated.
Summary: These little speakers are simply incredible. Built like a tank, heavy, and sweet sounding. You could pay three times as much for other speakers, and not get a better made/sounding speaker. Smooth, deep bass.. accurate midrange, and shrill free treble makes these Baby Vegas a joy to listen to.
