Summary: I purchased this system from Amazon and set it up in a few minutes, only to find that the tiny credit card remote control was dead. Replaced the coin battery, but that was not the problem. Frustrating, because the build quality is good and the sound is nice, but with no control over volume, input, etc., it is useless. Contacted Boston Acoustics via their web site, but two days have passed with no response.
Summary: Let me start by saying I am not a expert in sound systems. I am just an average Joe, who likes the sound quality of my tv programs and music to be better than what you can get coming from the speakers built into the tv. I have had inexpensive external speakers connected to 3 of my TV's for several years now - and for the most part, I have been quite satisfied with the sound of the 3 systems.
Summary: Sound is good for a small size room. The speakers look and feel durable. Reasonable price and fairly easy to set up. Would have give it a 4-star if only I can program the remote to work on my tv remote control. It didn't learned on my tv remote.
Summary: Pros: 1. Size 2. Easy installation 3. Digital Optical In 4. Remote 5. Bluetooth Cons: 1. Sound: It's not bad, but I was expecting better 2. Remote receiver placement mechanism needs work. I now have a dead sticker on my wall. 3. I have to repair my iphone/ipad with this everytime it wakes up from sleep which is somewhat underwhelming for the way most other BT devices in my house work. I got this on a great Black Thursday deal so I'm probably going to keep the unit.
