Summary: Had to return this item. The sound was okay but none of the features worked. My main complaint being it would not unlearn the TV remote command. That doesn't seem like a big deal except it only learned the volume up command no matter what I pushed. So consequently I could not do anything without turning up the volume. It was really frustrating. The control unit is really bright and clumsy.
BEWARE !!!! I recieved an old model with fewer features.

Summary: Be Careful !! You might not be getting the Soundware XS 2.1. But an older "Soundware XS." The older model lacks 1) speaker level inputs, 2) a line level input, and 3) crossover controls that are present in the 2.1 version subwoofer. This prevents interface of this speaker system with stereo systems lacking optical ports. I ordered from HIDEF Lifestyles during a Lightning Deal.
Summary: I really wanted to like this set of speakers. I'm still not in love with sound bars and have always had good experiences with Boston Acoustics speakers in the past. I also was able to get this set as a lighting deal for ~$120.00 so I figured it would be a steal. First off, I knew this wasn't a wireless set of speakers so it's not fair to knock them for having to be wired, but my god is it hard to make this set a "clean" install.
Summary: I was happy when I got the package. Got everything put together in about 15 minutes. The sound was pristine for the size and setup of the speakers. However, in exactly 1 month to the day that I received the package from Amazon, the high pitch sounds blew out from the small satellite speakers. I don't listen to music or movies very loudly, and was disappointed.
Summary: Frankly, I think the sound should have been way better for the price - but it is what it is. You get small speakers which is what you're after here anyway. But don't expect miracles from the sound. These are woosy little buggers.
Summary: I bought this end of 2013 and kept in the box until end of January when I moved. hooked it all up and it seemed great, ONE week later it quit working.. just stopped. also could not return because it was past the 30 days. very frustrating.
Summary: I tried to like this XS 2.1 Boston Acoustics sound system but had to return the system after 3 weeks. System has some nice features and sounds pretty good. There is Blue-tooth, RCA stereo, 3.5mm stereo, & SPDIF optical inputs. There is a volume control on back of base speaker/amplifier where you can increase/decrease amount of base.
If you want good sound quality and ease of operation, look elsewhere!

Summary: Bought this speaker system with great hopes of having a decent system that would plug in to my TV and also connect my smartphone & tablet via aux input or bluetooth. However I was severely disappointed and as I type this review, this system is on its way back in a UPS truck to the Amazon DC. The good things first - 1. You can connect pretty much any device to this via optical input, RCA, aux (3.5 mm) or bluetooth 2. It is loud 3.
Summary: I order this product from amazon and it arrived quickly to my house. I hooked this unit into my samsung un55f7100 tv using the TOSLink cable (provided). The sound began working immediately. When I went to go use the remote to configure everything I found that it wasn't working. I tried a new battery (a watch battery CR2025), that wasn't the issue. I double checked connections, etc...nothing.
