Summary: I have bought 3 of these systems; two for myself and one as a gift. This system is better value for money than almost any other electronics product I have bought. The sound is crisp and the sub-woofer makes the difference you expect it to.

Summary: Had to return this item. The sound was okay but none of the features worked. My main complaint being it would not unlearn the TV remote command. That doesn't seem like a big deal except it only learned the volume up command no matter what I pushed.

Summary: This speaker system is of very high quality. The sound is crisp and clear although I haven't tried the optical input which should be even better. The speakers feel very solid and of high quality build.
Summary: l can't believe the full sound and power that comes from this audio system. Summary: I received two of these. The "Boston Acoustics Soundware XS 2.1 Digital Cinema with Bluetooth and Dolby Digital Decoding Optimized Virtual Surround" is UNTRUTHFUL!!!! It is Boston Acoustics Soundware XS Digital Cinema with Bluetooth and Dolby Digital Decoding Optimized Virtual Surround and NOT the...
Summary: I decided to get these for my bedroom. I hooked them up to my TV and loved them... But then I thought... How would these sound in front of my computer with both satellite speakers about a 16 inches from my head? I am using two 22 inch monitors and they fit perfectly under them.
BEWARE !!!! I recieved an old model with fewer features.

Summary: Be Careful !! You might not be getting the Soundware XS 2.1. But an older "Soundware XS." The older model lacks 1) speaker level inputs, 2) a line level input, and 3) crossover controls that are present in the 2.1 version subwoofer.
Summary: I first heard the sound of these speakers at a friend's place and really became fan of it. So, I was quite clear in my mind that I have to get Boston Acoustics speakers only. On top of it, there are much more affordable then any other brand. Quality wise, they are more than awesome.
